Ruslaan Mumtaz is an Indian actor who works in the Mumbai based Hindi film industry, colloquially known as Bollywood. He is the son of Maharashtrian actress Anjana Mumtaz. His mother is Marathi speaking Hindu (Anjana Manjrekar) who starred in many Marathi, Hindi films and father Sajid Mumtaz who is Muslim and is an Air India official. Currently, he is seen in the TV show Kehta Hai Dil Jee Le Zara.

Rejected by females since his birth, Mumbai-based Rajesh Parekh works as a clap-boy with Bollywood film-maker Farah Khan, and lives a wealthy lifestyle with his father, Ramnikbhai, and mother, Sushila. The country is agog with the popularity of Farah's latest mega-star, Desh, who has a huge female fan following. Rajesh meets and is attracted to Desh's sister, Natasha, but ends up with heartbreak when she rejects him. Since the former is already taken, and the latter single, they decide to try and woo him.They succeed in wooing him. Now desh have fallen in love with tara. But as the time passes tara and rajesh realize that they have fallen in love with each other. At the time Natasha realises her mistake of rejecting rajesh and want to patch up with him. At the end Natasha and Desh realise their mistake of thinking their beloved partners love them and allow Rajesh and Tara to unite.

Maahi Puri (Sheena Shahabadi) is a 15-year-old girl who is the only child of a high-class family. Kabir (Ruslaan Mumtaz) is a 17-year-old from a lower-middle-class family. As they become friends, they are attracted to each other's lives. Their friendship and intimacy grows day by day. On a camping trip on New Year's Eve, the young couple have sex and Maahi becomes pregnant. Both sets of parents oppose her going through the pregnancy, and the young couple run away together. Maahi refuses to have an abortion. Kabir and Maahi's friends take them to an abandoned cottage, where they stay to protect their unborn child.
