Richard Harrington est un acteur britannique, né le 12 mars 1975 à Merthyr Tydfil au pays de Galles.

Biographie

Harrington was born in Gurnos and brought up in Dowlais, Merthyr Tydfil. He has had starring roles in Bleak House, Jimmy McGovern's Gunpowder, Treason & Plot, and Gavin Claxton's comedy feature film The All Together. He has also had roles in Coronation Street, Spooks, Casualty, Holby City, Hustle, Dalziel and Pascoe, Silent Witness, and Lark Rise to Candleford. He won a BAFTA Cymru Award for his portrayal of a young gay hustler in the film Dafydd.

On stage he has toured with Fiction Factory/Y Cwmni's productions of Ed Thomas' plays House of America, Gas Station Angel and Stone City Blue.

Harrington speaks Welsh as a second language. He spoke it throughout the Welsh-language crime drama Y Gwyll, in which he played the principal role as lead detective. He says the seven months filming Y Gwyll improved his fluency significantly.

He took part in the 2012 and 2013 Snowdonia Marathon.

He has two sons; Ralff Joseff, born 2006 and Ned, born 2007.

Elfie Hopkins tells the story of twenty-two-year-old slacker (Jaime Winstone), a "wanna-be" detective, set in a sleepy hunting village. She is a stoner and an animal lover, and haunted by the death of her mother and surrounded by her broken father and alcoholic step-mother, Elfie seeks solace and inspiration from the old school detectives in The Maltese Falcon and Chinatown. She entertains herself, along with her geeky best friend, Dylan (Aneurin Barnard), by investigating the villagers and upsetting everyone with their imaginative allegations. Elfie's mundane existence is thrown for a spin with the arrival of a family of trendy city dwellers, the Gammons.

Martin Freeman plays frustrated TV producer Chris, a self-opinionated wannabe screenwriter (with a particular dislike of British films featuring quirky secondary characters and plastic gangsters) who is forced to leave his unreliable flatmate Bob played by Velibor Topic in charge of showing a series of estate agents around the house he is trying to sell. James Dial (Wesley Snipes) est un ancien agent de la CIA qui vit retiré dans son ranch dans le Montana. James est bien décidé à tout mettre en œuvre pour prouver son innocence.
