Ashok (Venkatesh) is an advocate who works as a junior along with his two friends Raghava (Maharshi Raghava) & Bhaskar for advocate Durga Prasad (Vijay Kumar) who always fights for Justice. Durga Prasad and his wife Lakshmi (Sangeetha) treat them as their own children. Venkataratnam (Kota Srinivasa Rao) is a powerful contractor who has the entire system in his hands. Once Venkataratnam cheats Govt by saying that he has constructed a hostel for poor people without doing it, just showing on papers. Durga Prasad takes up the case and gathers all the proofs against him. Venkataratnam threatens Durga Prasad a lot who does not yield to it. Finally, Venkataratnam kills Durga Prasad and his wife Lakshmi in front of the court and destroys all the evidence. Before dying, Durga Prasad takes a word from Ashok, that he should win this case in any circumstances. Ashok gives respect to his words and takes up the case, but he fails to get the case admitted because there is no evidence. In that frustration, Ashok reacts on Venkataratnam publicly in court, which leads to his suspension from the court and he has been arrested.

Harichandra Prasad has a big family his wife Vasudhana (Radhika), three sons, one daughter, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren. Though he is being the father of three sons, he dislikes his third son Bhanu Prasad (again Venkatesh) because of Bhanu being illiterate but he is devoted and benevolent son to his father, Bhanu has to do menial household work and has substantially no kinship with family.

Au début du cinéma parlant, dans l'état du Pays Tamoul... Anandan (Mohanlal), acteur débutant et Tamizhselvam (Prakash Raj), auteur prolifique, deviennent les meilleurs amis du monde. Si, le premier vise le succès au cinéma, au prix de milles efforts, le second espère gravir les marches de la politique, avec l'appui d'un bon réseau. Tous deux, très prometteurs, dans leurs catégories, veulent absolument briller, dans leur pays. C'est alors (au début des années 1950) que Tamizhselvam suggère à son ami, Anandan, de le rejoindre au sein d'un parti régionaliste qui monte et emmené par son charismatique leader, Ayya Vélouthambi (Nasser). En vieux briscard de la politique, Ayya Vélouthambi y voit d'un bon œil l'occasion d'utiliser la notoriété grandissante d'Anandan, pour la vitrine de son mouvement. Il demande dans ce sens, à Tamizhselvam, de rédiger des scénarios qui servent aussi bien Anandan que la cause de leur idéologie. À présent figure incontournable et indispensable de leur courant (au début des années 1960), la star de cinéma (Mohanlal) est dans les petits papiers du fondateur (Nasser), ce qui porte ombrage au stratège (Prakash Raj) et lui fait naitre une pointe de jalousie. Plusieurs années plus tard (en1969), devenu le parti majoritaire, Ayya Vélouthambi décède d'une longue maladie, en plein mandat, laissant le poste vacant, mais aussi, confusions et questions qui vont mettre à mal l'amitié des deux hommes, à rude épreuve aussi bien Anandan que Tamizhselvam. Leur clans et entourage respectifs profitent pour souffler sur les braises de la discorde entre eux, jusqu'à la rupture, au point de non-retour. C'est ainsi qu'Anandan et Tamizhselvam vont prendre chacun leur chemin et s'opposer au sommet avec férocité, pour le poste de ministre en chef de leur pays. Amis encore hier, ils sont aujourd'hui, les pires ennemis...

Whenever injustice comes to the fore, he appears to resolve it in an authentic manner, he lives with his mother Durgamma (Nirmalamma). Chinnarayudu's brother-in-law Pasupathi (Mohan Raj) is always opponent and anti to him. Gowri (Vijayashanti) a girl in the village lives by rearing the goats have funny fights with Chinnarayudu & Durgamma and they both silently love each other. Gowri has debt of amount to Pasupathi for studying her sister Ganga (Haritha), she not able to repay the money so issue goes to Chinnarayudu's judgement, then situation arises Gowri has to collect money from villagers for repaying her debt and ultimately landing up in getting married to the Chinnarayudu.

Raju (Chiranjeevi) is a do-gooder who helps his co-workers in a Visakhapatnam shipyard, but when his mother suffers a paralytic stroke, he moves back to Hyderabad and looks for a job. Uma Devi (Nagma) daughter of industrialist Bapineedu (Raogopal Rao) takes over the business from her father and helps it to reach new heights which also sees her head-strong ways reach new heights. In this scenario, she not only rejects Ranganayakulu's (Kaikala Satyanarayana) son's marriage proposal but insults them when the father-son duo show up at her house. To get their revenge, they send goons to kill Uma Devi. As fate would have it, Bapineedu shows up in the car instead of Uma Devi and is rescued by Raju who asks him for a job which Bapineedu readily agrees to.
