Mithra Kurian (born Dalma Kurian), is an Indian film actress who appears in Malayalam and Tamil films. After appearing in supporting roles in two Malayalam films, she starred in two Tamil films, before playing lead female roles and gaining attention in Malayalam cinema. Her portrayal of Sethulakshmi in Bodyguard (2010) won her critical acclaim and she went on to reprise the role in its Tamil remake Kaavalan. Her another notable role was in Rama Ravanan starring Suresh Gopi.

Mithra was born as Dalma to Malayali Syrian Christian parents Kurian and Baby, on May 15, 1989, at Perumbavoor, Kerala. She has a younger brother, Dani Kurian. She has completed her bachelors in Business Administration (B.B.A). She is a distant relative of Nayantara. VijayPrithviraj is a business man who always listens to his brain, and PavithraAndrea, the daughter of a famous businessman CS NambiarPratap Pothen, is a girl who always listens to her heart. Vijay was asked to marry Pavitra by her dad and Pavitra is testing whether Vijay is the right guy for her. After spending a day with Pavitra, Vijay hits MerinNanditha, a nurse who has just arrived from India to work in London, while driving back home. Her wrist gets paralysed after the accident. Vijay takes care of her and eventually falls in love with Merin and vice versa. Pavitra's dad and FrancisMukesh fix Vijay's and Pavitra's marriage. But when he refuses to marry her, Francis forces him to get married to Pavitra because of her wealth. Merin's job agreement gets terminated because they think that she is physically unfit. Francis tries to help her but he fails.Eventually, Francis forces Vijay to not give her false hopes and gift her a sum of money and let her go back to India. Merin refuses the amount of money gifted and asks him to show her around London before she leaves. Then Merin goes back to India. The next day, her aunt GracLena calls Vijay to tell that Merin has not reached her home yet. Grac's husband ThamikuttySunil, tells them that he will go to India to enquire about Merin but Vijay says that he will go because he is the one who is supposed to go. Pavitra's dad try to force him to stay, but Vijay says that he really likes Merin and he will go to India, no matter what. Pavitra helps him to go to India by convincing her dad to not stop him and personally drops him to the airport. Vijay reaches India. While in a taxi, Francis calls Vijay and directs him to go to Merin's home. Vijay reaches Merin's home to find her house being seized to debt. He finds out that Merin has reached home safely. The movie ends by Vijay reavealing to Pavitra that Merin had reached home safely, but lied to make Vijay realize his love for her.

Milan Paul and Sriramakrishnan are best friends who have been together since college. The intensity of their friendship has not faded though the carefree days of college have long past gone. Now Sree is an ASP (Assistant Superintendent of Police) of Kottayam and Milan is a renowned reporter in the same city. Though in different fields both are in highly responsible jobs. In effect, both of them use their friendship to fulfill their respective social responsibilities. Hot-tempered and impulsive Sree usually ends up in some sort of trouble and is always saved by Milan in the nick of the time. Consequently, Milan has to deal with physical and mental torture from Sree's enemies but Sree reciprocates by saving Milan. Jayashankar (Jayaram) is a wholesale vegetable vendor who lives with his mother and only sister Kalyani (Mithra Kurian). Jayashankar is in debt and goes to city to meet his relative Sethumadhavan (Suraj Venjaramoodu) to borrow some money to straighten things. There he finds out that his relative is not a successful businessman but rather, a successful thief. Bhoominathan (Vijay) idolises Muthuramalingam (Rajkiran) and at the request of his parents, accepts to work for the latter as his bodyguard. There enters Muthuramalingam's rival, who has lost his daughter since she committed suicide, the reason being rejection by Muthuramalingam's son. While Bhoominathan protects Muthuramalingam, his rival threatens the life of his daughter Meera (Asin). Bhoominathan is sent to college along with Meera and her friend Madhu (Mithra Kurian) to protect them from the threat. Meera tries to distance herself from Bhoominathan by calling him from a private number; Bhoominathan falls in love with the girl without knowing that it is Meera herself. At one point, Meera too feels herself becoming attracted to Bhoominathan and expresses her desire to meet him in person. However, due to circumstances they are not able to accomplish this until at the climax when she tells Bhoominathan to run away with her and to meet at a railway station. Bhoominathan agrees, unaware it is Meera. However through certain means,Muthuramalingam comes to think that Bhoominathan and Meera are going to run away. In order to save Bhoominathan's life from the anger of Muthuramalingam, Meera lies that the lover is not her and that Bhoominathan is meeting another girl at the train station. Muthuramalingam lets Bhoominathan leave as he was desperate to meet his 'lover' at the station. The story moves on to few years later where Bhoominathan and his son returning to Meera's village, with the son keeping away a diary written to him by his mum. At Meera's house, Meera's father was ill and Meera appeared from her room unmarried that shocked Bhoominathan as he felt the man who would marry Meera would be the luckiest man on earth. The son continues to read the diary later in the night where the remaining of the story reveals. Meera's father lets Bhoominathan go but tells his henchmen to kill Bhoominathan if the girl he claims to meet does not appear. Terrified that Bhoomi would be killed, Meera sends her friend, Madhu, to the station and tells her to tell Bhoominathan that she is the lover and that she won't be able to make it to the station. Madhu, seeing Bhoominathan, tries to tell him that it was Meera but, Muthuramalingam's henchman appeared to be behind Bhoomi. Madhu pretends that she was his lover whilst the henchman was watching. But the hug from Bhoominathan made Madhu to backstab her friend. Meera called Madhu's phone but Madhu killed Meera's call, switched the phone off and threw it outside the train. Her wicked smile indicated that she now wanted Meera out of their life, so she settled in another country. But God works in mysterious ways. Madhu's life was short-lived. She felt it's God way of punishing her and therefore wanted her son to know the truth. When Bhoominathan and the son leaves the next day, the son asks Meera if he can call her 'amma' and she says yes. And he then asks his 'mum' to follow them back. Bhoominathan gets angry at his son for saying something so blunt and rude. But Muthuramalingam begs Bhoominathan to take Meera as his wife. So they go onto the train together but the son runs away before leaving and throws the diary into a trashcan nearby. Bhoominathan finds the diary and realises soon that his real lover, the girl who had waited for him for so many years faithfully, was Meera. And in the train he shows that he has accepted her full-heartedly.

Bodyguard revolves around young Jayakrishnan (Dileep), who has a very strange habit; he adulates anyone with a trace of heroism. Jayan) where he saves a girl from being raped by one of David Raj's men.Then he confronts David and says that he came to get the stuff a.k.a. heroin from him saying that Moorthy told him to get it for Rs.10000/= and wants to sell it to Rs.20000/=.But David Raj understanding that he is a fool sends in 1 crore worth heroin without the knowledge of Shiva saying that there will be a call to the phone he gives and tells him to deliver it to the address the caller says and to be caught by the police with the buyer.But Shiva goes the wrong way and goes to see his friend Vellai (Karunas) where Vellai has taken money from a lender for interest to give to Shiva.At his place they open up the package and they both think it is toothpaste powder.Where Shiva says that he must get a call.Then with the money lending party they go to said place and the two people of the money lending party goes to the buyer and get the money but they are caught by the police.Then next day Shiva calls the T.V station where Priya works where he reveals that he is the brother of Ram Mohan (Abbas) and that Moorthy must call him else he would die jumping from the top of a building.Then the police arrive at the building to find that Moorthy has called him.From there knowing that Priya is a friend of Mohan he gets into her house saying that he is Ram Mohan's brother.But after certain events Ram Mohan returns to India and finds his brother burning in a flat.After this Sundhara Moorthy surfaces and spills the beans about Ram Mohan to the family of Priya that her father the manager of IDID Bank was murdered by Ram Mohan and his brother because he found out that his bank was robbed by the two brothers and the college girl who was killed in that incident is his sister.From here onwards a fight happens between Sundara Moorthy and Ram Mohan where Sundara Moorthy wins.
