Matthew Marsden est un acteur britannique né le 3 mars 1973 à Walsall, West Midlands. Il a été membre du National Youth Theater et a passé par la suite une licence de théâtre à la Middlesex University. Il a tenu son premier rôle en Angleterre dans la série Emmerdale puis dans Island.

Décidé à s'établir aux États-Unis pour y faire carrière dans le cinéma et la chanson, il a obtenu très vite un rôle dans La Chute du faucon noir de Ridley Scott et dans le téléfilm épique produit par une chaîne câblée, Helen of Troy.

Il a été la guest star de séries comme NCIS : Enquêtes spéciales, Les Experts : Miami, ou Emily's Reasons Why Not et a joué dans le téléfilm The Legacy.

Biographie

Marsden lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Nadine Micallef, a Maltese former ballerina and pilates instructor, whom he married in 2005. He is father to six children: a son (from a pre-marital relationship) and five children with his wife.

Marsden was born to a family of Irish descent and is a practising Roman Catholic. He appeared in Rosary Stars Praying the Gospel (2009), alongside Ali Landry, Jeff Suppan, and others. He and his family are frequently involved in activities with Family Theater Productions, a division of Holy Cross Family Ministries, founded by Father Patrick Peyton.
