Margaret Livingston est une actrice américaine née le 25 novembre 1900 à Salt Lake City, Utah (États-Unis), décédée le 13 décembre 1984 à Warrington (États-Unis).

Biographie

Margaret Livingston commence sa carrière cinématographique en 1916. Elle joue dans plus de cinquante films pendant l'époque du muet, et dans une vingtaine de films après l'apparition du parlant en 1929. Elle trouve l'un de ses rôles les plus notables dans L'Aurore (Sunrise) de F.W. Murnau en 1927. Elle a parfois doublé d'autres actrices. En 1931, elle épouse le chef d'orchestre Paul Whiteman, et peu après abandonne le cinéma en 1934.

Juste avant le début de la première représentation de sa revue, le producteur Victor Randall et Paulette Vaile, sa star mais aussi son ex-femme, se disputent, mais Bunson, un ami de Randall, s'interpose et les décide à continuer le spectacle. Pendant que Paulette flirte avec Eddie, Victor se lamente d'avoir perdu Paulette, qu'il aime encore. Au même moment, Kiki, un des danseuses, est licenciée pour avoir mordu une autre danseuse. Elle se rend dans le bureau de Victor et arrive à ce que Randall lui donne une seconde chance. Lors de la représentation, Kiki est distraite en apercevant Victor, qu'elle aime, elle trébuche, ce qui amuse le public et fait enrager les autres artistes. Après le spectacle, Paulette gifle Kiki et insiste pour qu'elle soit virée, licenciement que Victor refuse d'annuler lorsque Kiki vient dans son bureau.

She turns down the elder Spotswoode's offer of money to leave Jimmy alone. She also telephones two men she has been blackmailing, Cleaver and Mannix, and demands one final generous gift from each of them by the next day. She also informs "creepy" admirer Dr. Lindquist. Her ex-husband Tony Sheel eavesdrops and wants half, but she refuses to give him anything, even after he hits her. Cleaver, Mannix and Lindquist are all shown lurking about her apartment building late that night.
