Mallika Sukumaran is an Indian film and television actress. She was married to actor Jagathy Sreekumar from 1976 .They separated in 1978, and she married actor Sukumaran. After marrying Sukumaran, she retired from the limelight and became a devoted housewife.
After the death of her husband, she came back to the industry again. She started with Tele-serials, including Sthree Oru Santhwanam, playing an evil mother-in-law.

Biographie
She is born to Madhavan Pillai Kainikkara and Shobha at Thiruvananthapuram. She was married to Jagathy on 1976 but ended in divorce. Later in 17 October 1978 she married Malayalam actor Sukumaran. Her two sons Prithviraj and Indrajith are leading actors in Malayalam cinema. Actress and television anchor Poornima Indrajith is her daughter in law.Le plus souvent avec

The film starts with Dr. Dinanathan and his family leaving for a vacation. But midway they get a call from the hospital due to an emergency surgery and he has to come back to the hospital for the surgery. Later, all goes well and the Dinanathan is called to Chennai for a surgery and it turns out to be his ex-lover Sophia's husband who dies in spite of the successful surgery and he sends a letter to Dinanathan telling him to take care of Sophia. From there the story continues in very complicated situations which resultes in the birth of Dinanathan's child from Sophia & death of Sophia due to a careless mistake and Dinanathan taking the baby into his own family.
