Costas or Kostas Sommer (Greek: Κώστας Σόμμερ; born 17 May 1975) is a Greek model and actor who has appeared in numerous movies and TV shows. In 2005, he appeared in the Hollywood film Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo starring Rob Schneider as the Greek gigolo Assapopoulos Mariolis. This role is Sommer’s first Hollywood role, after nailing his only audition since arriving in Los Angeles.
He was born in Germany, where he spent most of his childhood years and later moved to Greece, Sommer attended the German School of Athens. He was bitten by the acting bug as a young boy, and continued working in television and film in Greece. He is a very well known Greek celebrity appearing in numerous magazines as a model before landing roles in big screen film productions such as Brides by Pantelis Voulgaris, A Breath's Distance for ATA Studios and Golden Beach. Some of his television credits include Love Came From Afar, Aliki, and The Bachelors. He has also appeared in several broadway plays include playing the part of Joe Bonaparte in Golden Boy and Liliom. He enjoys extreme sports as well as skydiving, jetski, speed boat, car and motorcycle racing/stunts. Some of his other hobbies include kickboxing, sailing, scuba diving, track and field and firearms. He currently lives between Athens and Los Angeles Sommer made a guest appearance during the April 2006 Miss Star Hellas, (Greek: Μις Σταρ Ελλάς) pageant. He was starring opposite actress Fay Zafirakou, (Greek: Φαίη Ζαφειράκου), in the Greek TV series Tis Agapis Maheria (Greek: Της αγάπης μαχαιριά), (The Knives of Love) by Stratos Markidis for ANT1. This series had a personal connection to Kostas since the story is based in Cretan traditions.

Deuce Bungalow est invité par son ami proxénète TJ Hicks à se rendre à Amsterdam. Il l'accepte volontiers l'invitation d'autant qu'il vient de provoquer un massacre involontaire dans un club de natation pour mal voyants. Il se rend donc aux Pays-Bas pas en emportant la jambe artificielle de sa femme morte à Malibu d'une attaque de requin il y a quelques mois. À Amsterdam, Deuce découvre la ville, ses prostituées et ses coffee shops, TJ Jicks lui présente certains de ses amis gigolos dont Heinz Hummer, et lui apprend à ce propos qu'un tueur de gigolo sévit en ce moment dans la ville.

En 1922, à bord du transatlantique SS King Alexander entre Smyrne et New York, le photographe américain Norman Harris (Damian Lewis), passager de 1 classe, rencontre la jeune femme grecque d'Asie mineure Niki Douka (Victoria Haralabidou), originaire de Samothrace, passagère de 3e classe. Il rentre chez lui, à Chicago, vers un mariage qui n'existe plus. Elle fait partie de 700 jeunes femmes grecques mariées par correspondance à des compatriotes installés aux États-Unis. Dans leur malle, elles ont toutes la photo de leur futur mari et leur robe de mariée. Norman est touché par ces femmes et séduit par Niki. Ils apprennent à se connaître et tombent amoureux. Quand le navire entre au port de New-York, ils se séparent et partent chacun de leur côté vers leur destin.
