Kobori (Bengali: কবরী) is a Bangladeshi film actress. She received the National award for her performance in the movie Sareng Bou (The Captain's Wife). She is a Member of Parliament and was elected to her post in December 2008 from Awami League.

Biographie

Kabori first married to Chitta Chowdhury. She left him in 1978 and married Shafiuddin Sarwar, alias Babu Sarwar. Kabori has been divorced by her second husband for political reasons. Kabori has five sons.
She is also a human rights activist.


Kabori is involved in several organizations dedicated to better the lives of Bangladeshi women. She was a guest of the US state dept for women's affairs and participated in numerous conventions in Europe and Asia.
