Kim Bo A (Hangul: 김보아; Hanja: 金甫娥; born January 14, 1987), commonly known by her stage name Boa, is a South Korean idol singer, dancer, vocal coach. She is a member of the Korean girl group Spica, which debuted under B2M Entertainment in 2012.

Biographie

Boa was born in South Korea on January 14, 1987. After high school she attended Yeoju University, where she joined their Commercial Music department. Before debuting, she was an amateur musician. She worked with producing team Sweetune and providing background vocals and harmonization for several Korean artists and groups. She was also Kara, Rainbow and Infinite's vocal coach under Sweetune.

She had a dream of becoming an artist since she was a teenager, although training made her very busy. Therefore, she auditioned to be a part of LOEN Entertainment in 2007, then left the agency company due to personal circumstances.

In 2010, she moved to B2M Entertainment and became a trainee. In December 2011, it was announced that she will be finally making her debut with girl group Spica and will be mentored by Lee Hyori who is now under the same agency as well. The group made their official debut on February 9, 2012.
