She is also the recipient of four Filmfare Best Female Playback Singer Awards, including 3 consecutive awards in the period 1994–1996, and the Padmashri which she received in 2006. In March 2013, she launched her own app which is available for free download in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.

The story follows rich businessman Shravan Dhariwal (Sanjay Dutt). Shravan has everything one can dream of having and what he doesn’t have, he buys it. One day, he meets Varsha (Manisha Koirala) and believes her to be his true love. He proposes to her, and she eventually agrees. The couple get engaged, and go on a small holiday. Nanda Gopal a.k.a. Nandu (Mahesh Babu) is a professional assassin, and Malli (Sonu Sood) is his partner. State level opposition party leader Shiva Reddy (Sayaji Shinde) wants someone to attempt an assassination on him so that he can gain sympathy votes in the upcoming elections and become the new Chief Minister after promoting his party in such conditions. His colleague Baji Reddy (Kota Srinivasa Rao) with the help of Farooq (Posani Krishna Murali) hooks him up with Nandu for a deal for ₹1.5 crores. After receiving the payment, Nandu and Malli plan the fake assassination attempt at the promotion campaign held nearby and they choose a nearby building to hide and a car to escape. However, before Nandu can shoot Shiva Reddy, someone else fatally shoots him. Within minutes, police surround the building. Just before the exit of the building, a big car accident occurs on the street with Nandu's car. Nandu assumes that Malli got trapped and died in the accident. So Nandu goes to the top of the skyscraper. With the police behind him and in front of him, he is helpless. Suddenly a train comes and Nandu uses a rope to jump from the skyscraper to the train. On the train, Nandu meets Pardhasaradhi a.k.a. Pardhu (Rajiv Kanakala) and travels with him.

Sanjay est un grand physicien qui étudie l'existence des extraterrestres. Raj Singh Puri (Jackie Shroff) est le meilleur ami de L.K. Malhotra (Anang Desai) qui est le jeune frère de J.K. Malhotra (Amrish Puri). Alors que le mariage de la première a été arrangé, la seconde s’est unie à celui qu’elle avait choisi. Or, la seconde a réclamé le divorce. Tout ceci a provoqué le désespoir de Raj et de sa dernière fille Isha qui se montrent fermement contre l’amour et les relations humaines. Mais Isha change d’opinion lorsqu’elle rencontre et tombe amoureuse de l’héritier de l’empire Malhotra, Ronit (Hrithik Roshan), fils de L.K. Malhotra. Lorsqu’ils demandent l’assentiment de Raj, celui-ci refuse et Isha cesse de fréquenter Ronit. Raj arrange alors le mariage de ce dernier avec Monishka Rai (Kiran Rathod), fille d’un autre homme d’affaires.
