John Callahan (born December 23, 1953) is an American actor, best known for his work as Edmund Grey on the soap opera All My Children. He was born in Brooklyn, New York.
While his work on soaps stretches back over twenty years (including stints on Falcon Crest and Santa Barbara), it is the role of Edmund that has brought him the most fame and acclaim. He played on All My Children from 1992 to 2005, when the character of Edmund was controversially killed off. His death caused an uproar, mainly because another tie to All My Children's history was cut.
From 2008 to 2010, he played Dr. Baker, an OB, on Days of Our Lives.
Along with former co-star Esta TerBlanche, in 1997 he played his All My Children role in an episode of the sitcom Spin City called My Life is a Soap Opera.
Callahan experienced an on-set romance with AMC co-star Eva LaRue, who for seven years played Edmund's wife, Dr. Maria Santos Grey. The popularity of the super couple Edmund and Maria led to the two co-hosting both the Miss America pageant and Lifetime's Weddings of a Lifetime. They had three wedding ceremonies on the soap opera as well as marrying in real life on November 30, 1996 on the island of Lanai in Hawaii. They have a daughter, Kaya McKenna born in 2001. It was the second marriage for both, and they have since divorced. Callahan had previously been married to Linda Freeman from 1982–1994, and has two stepsons from the union.
Callahan appeared on the 1990 revival of the television game show To Tell the Truth as a celebrity panelist.

Sur une île paradisiaque, des expériences menées sur des végétaux pour permettre à l'humanité de se nourrir sans bouleverser l'écosystème sont dirigées par son gérant, Mr Drake (David Carradine) décide de relancer ce programme sur des sauriens tel un crocodile et un alligator. Ces deux créatures s'échapperont de leurs enclos en béton armés, puis, après avoir mangé et écrasé les scientifiques à blouses blanches et à lunettes, se fonderont dans la nature de l'île paradisiaque touristique. Dans ce monde parfait où les blondes sont les gentilles et les autres sont méchantes, les blagues très réussies, les deux créatures seront amenées à se battre (?) à la suite d'une phrase d'un chasseur envoyé par David pour tuer les deux choses. Ils commencent alors un combat mortel.

While chopping carrots in her suburban kitchen, a nervous housewife, Carol (Caroleen Feeney), accidentally chops off her husband Glenn's (Liev Schreiber) pinky, causing the detached finger to fly out the window and into the backyard. After chasing down the neighbor's dog, which has absconded with the errant digit, Carol eventually recovers it, But as the couple races to the hospital to have the finger reattached, Carol discovers that Glenn has been unfaithful. Indignant, she decides that she is not giving it back until Glenn confesses to the identity of his affair. After much hemming and hawing, Glenn eventually acknowledges that it is Pam (Cynthia Watros), who also just happens to be Carol's best friend. Incensed, Carol drives to Pam's house to confront her, only to raise the ire of Pam's husband, Nick (Michael Rispoli), who grabs the finger and runs off, planning to put it into a bank deposit machine.

Un homme (Hume Cronyn) atteint d'un AVC (accident vasculaire cérébral) dix-sept ans plus tôt, est resté alité, dans l'incapacité de se mouvoir. Il est aimé de sa fille Bessie (Diane Keaton) mais complètement ignoré de sa seconde fille, Lee, (Meryl Streep) qui a déménagé en Ohio avec son époux vingt ans plus tôt et ne l'a plus contacté depuis. Le médecin de Bessie (Robert de Niro) l'informe alors qu'elle souffre d'une leucémie et qu'elle doit bénéficier d'une greffe de moelle osseuse au plus vite. Elle se tourne donc vers sa sœur Lee, pour lui demander son aide, qui elle se tourne vers son fils, Hank (Leonardo DiCaprio). Celui-ci a été interné dans un hôpital psychiatrique pour avoir mis le feu à la maison de sa mère. Lorsque Lee découvre qu'elle devra peut-être avoir à prendre soin de son père, elle commence par faire le tour des maisons de retraite. Finalement, la famille commence à resserrer ses liens.
