James McLarty (later billed as Jim McLarty to avoid confusion with another actor of the same name) is a Canadian-born actor and voice actor.

Biographie

McLarty re-located to New Zealand in 1990. McLarty is known worldwide for his voice role as Broodwing in Power Rangers: SPD. He guest-starred on Power Rangers: Mystic Force as a Styxoid in "Light Source (2)". He also portrayed Dr. Medland in Power Rangers: Operation Overdrive. More recently, he portrayed The Grand Shogun in Power Rangers: Super Samurai.

McLarty has also appear, usually in small roles, in both theatrical and TV films such as The Boy Who Could Fly, Jamaica Inn, The Tommyknockers, and The Frighteners. One of his earliest roles was that of Horse, in the Ivan Reitman comedy Meatballs. In the film, his character was pantsed during the famous basketfull game sequence, and later lost a footrace to Chris Makepeace's character. McLarty also had a recurring role of Pankos in the Xena: Warrior Princess syndicated television series.
