Jennifer Dinshaw Kotwal is a Parsi model and actress from Mumbai, India. She went to school at Villa Teresa High School in Mumbai, and completed her studies with a degree in Economics at HR College, also in Mumbai.
She started her acting career with Hindi television serials such as Just Mohabbat. She has modelled for Lakme, Fanta, Close-up and Cadbury, among others. She then enacted smaller roles in Hindi films such as Subhash Ghai's Yaadein before landing the lead in the 2005 Kannada movie Jogi opposite Shivarajkumar, which set box office records,thus establishing herself as a leading contemporary actress of Kannada cinema Shooting for the sequel to Jogi commenced in June 2009. She appeared as Abhishek Bachchan's sister in Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai. In 2009 she made her Bollywood debut as a lead heroine in Mudh Mudh Ke Na Dekkh Mudh Mudh Ke, opposite Himesh Reshammiya.

Erandane Maduve revolves around the family of a senior government officer, his autocratic wife and three arrogant daughters. After being suspended for taking a bribe, Lokayukta officer Vishwanath (Ananth Nag) is left to be always in the house surrounded by his over powering wife and three careless daughters. To get back his respect, he gets help from his lawyer friend Murthy (Rangayana Raghu) and puts up a dramatized make believe plot that he has an affair with a young and sexy lass called Veena (Jennifer Kotwal) who starts visiting his home. On seeing this, the enraged and confused wife Malavika (Suhasini Maniratnam) seeks her bumbling brother's help (Sharan) to get revenge on the husband.

The film is narrated in a non-linear fashion, with the use of several multiple flashbacks. In the opening scene, a dreaded underworld don is brutally hacked to death by unknown assailants. Raj Singh Puri (Jackie Shroff) est le meilleur ami de L.K. Malhotra (Anang Desai) qui est le jeune frère de J.K. Malhotra (Amrish Puri). Les deux frères sont d’importants hommes d’affaires et Raj est leur employé. À la suite du décès de son épouse Shalini (Rati Agnihotri), Raj reste seul avec ses trois filles, Avantika (Avni Vasa), Sania (Himani Rawat) et Isha (Kareena Kapoor). Alors que le mariage de la première a été arrangé, la seconde s’est unie à celui qu’elle avait choisi. Or, la seconde a réclamé le divorce. Tout ceci a provoqué le désespoir de Raj et de sa dernière fille Isha qui se montrent fermement contre l’amour et les relations humaines. Mais Isha change d’opinion lorsqu’elle rencontre et tombe amoureuse de l’héritier de l’empire Malhotra, Ronit (Hrithik Roshan), fils de L.K. Malhotra. Lorsqu’ils demandent l’assentiment de Raj, celui-ci refuse et Isha cesse de fréquenter Ronit. Raj arrange alors le mariage de ce dernier avec Monishka Rai (Kiran Rathod), fille d’un autre homme d’affaires.
