Herbert Bunston (15 April 1874 – 27 February 1935) was an English stage and screen actor. He is remembered for his role as Dr. John Seward in the Broadway and film versions of Dracula.
Bunston was born in Dorset, and attended Cranleigh School in Surrey. He appeared on the British stage between 1896 and 1922, after which he emigrated to the United States. He first appeared on the Broadway stage in Arthur Wing Pinero's The Enchanted Cottage in 1923 alongside Katharine Cornell. Other roles included That Awful Mrs. Eaton! and Simon Called Peter in 1925. None of these plays ran as many as 100 performances. Bunston won strong critical notice for his next role in 1925's Young Woodley, which ran for 260 performances. On 5 October 1927, he debuted alongside Bela Lugosi and Edward Van Sloan in Dracula.
Following his success in these last two plays, he signed a contract with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Following a number of roles of greater and lesser significance, Bunston was cast to re-create his Broadway role in the film adaptation of Dracula (1931). Bunston continued to appear in character roles for the next four years until his death in Los Angeles in 1935.

Jim Branch est rédacteur en chef d'un grand quotidien, et veut que son journal sorte des scoops. Il s'accroche avec l'une de ses journalistes, la jolie et riche Sharon Norwood, une jeune femme du monde, nièce du propriétaire du journal : Branch estime qu'elle n'est là que pour s'amuser, et la renvoie pour incompétence. Quand il comprend que les relations mondaines de Sharon vont lui permettre d'éclaircir une affaire de procès pour divorce, le procès Patterson qui fait les gros titres, il entreprend de la séduire, mais tombe amoureux d'elle. Branch suspecte de corruption l'avocat Tommy Bannister, impliqué dans le procès et grand ami de Sharon, mais celle-ci ne supporte pas ces soupçons, et lors d'une soirée, Sharon s'éloigne de Branch et part diner avec Bannister. Le lendemain, l'épouse Patterson est retrouvée morte, or elle était la maîtresse de Bannister, et Sharon, de bonne foi, va servir d'alibi à son ami avocat. Branch saura démasquer le coupable et regagner les faveurs de Sharon.
