In 1999, Spearritt and Cattermole became members of S Club 7 in which they became good friends. However, in May 2001, Hannah and Paul's friendship developed into romantic relationship, they kept their relationship a secret for six months. Later in the same year, they made a public announcement to confirm that they were together.
In early 2006, Spearritt and Cattermole's announced that their five-year relationship was over.
Spearritt met Andrew-Lee Potts in 1997 and they dated briefly during this time. In 2006, they were both cast in Primeval and began dating again. Potts proposed while they were on a holiday in Mallorca in 2008. The couple decided to split up in early 2013, as confirmed by Potts.
Spearritt dated and was previously engaged to fitness instructor and personal trainer Adam Thomas from May 2013 to April 2015. In June 2015 they officially announced their separation.
