Hamsa Nandini was born and brought up in Pune and moved to Mumbai to become a model. She graduated in commerce and enrolled in a PG in human resources in 2009. Her birth name is Poonam, under she which she appeared in her first few films, but since there were too many people named Poonam in the film industry, director Vamsy rechristened her Hamsa Nandini.
From 2012 onwards, Hamsa Nandini has been regularly making special appearances in Telugu films. In 2013, all her four releases, Mirchi, Bhai, Atharintiki Daaredi and Ramayya Vasthavayya featured her in item numbers. She stated that she was happy "doing a five-minute dance number" as it gives her "phenomenal reach" and "a good platform to reach out to the masses". Most recently she performed a special number in Legend. Hamsa Nandini was selected by Gunasekhar to play the warrior princess Madanika in his forthcoming period drama Rudhramadevi after nearly 100 girls had been auditioned for the role.

Krishna (Nandamuri Balakrishna) lives in Dubai while his family is in India. His grandmother is against him who settled in India. Krishna falls for Sneha (Sonal Chauhan) and comes to India to seek the blessings of his grandmother. Jitender (Jagapati Babu) is a man with pride and haughtiness. He cannot tolerate anyone who comes across his way. Once, he goes to a nearby village for a marriage proposal to him. There he gets involved in a quarrel with the village headman (Suman) due to some unfortunate events and gets jailed. From then onwards, he tries to take revenge on that family. He kills the family members of the village headman one-by-one. As soon as Krishna arrives in India, he gets involved in quarreling with the gang of Jitendra. When Krishna and his family members are traveling in a bus to visit a temple Jitender's hitmen shoot Krishna and his family members are beaten badly by his henchmen. Krishna's elder brother Jai Dev The Legend (Nandamuri Balakrishna) who remained exiled obeying his grandmother, saves them and Krishna is admitted in a hospital. Then the past is revealed that twenty years back there was a quarrel between Jai Dev and Jitender in which Jai Dev's cousin (Radhika Apte) whom he loved was killed by Jitender. At present, he comes to know that Jitender is going to become Chief Minister of the state.How he stops Jitender from claiming this throne forms the rest of the story.

Loukyam opens with Venky (Gopichand) kidnapping the sister of Babji (Sampath Raj), as she is getting married to Bharat (Bharath Reddy) although she is in love with someone else. He goes to Hyderabad and waits for everything in his home, Warangal to clear. He stays with his friend, Shyamala (Satyam Rajesh). There he falls for Chandrakala, the sister of Sathya (Rahul Dev), a don in Hyderabad. Chandrakala rags other students in the college using her brother's power. After her initial rejection, Venky gets her to reciprocate his feelings. Meanwhile, Babji comes to Hyderabad in order to reach Sippy (Brahmanandam), the driver who helped Venky kidnap Babji's sister. Babji, unaware of the fact that he is travelling in Sippy's taxi, goes around Hyderabad with Boiling star Bablu (Prudhviraj), A rising Television star. Meanwhile, Kesava Reddy (Mukesh Rishi), a politician is behind Chandrakala's life. He conducts an attack on her through which Venky comes to know that Chandrakala is actually Babji's second sister and that he had sent her with Sathya to Hyderabad to maintain a low profile. Babji readies Chandrakala to marry Bharath. He also continues to search for whoever (Venky) abducted his sister. Using the help of Nano Shastri (Krishna Bhagavaan), Venky manages to get Babji and Chandrakala into his house. He also comes to know that the reason Kesava Reddy wants to kill Chandrakala is because his younger sister committed suicide because she loved Babji although he did not reciprocate the same. He hires Hamsa Sippy (Hamsa Nandini), Sippy's wife, to act as his father, Meka Papa Rao a.k.a Puppy's wife. He tells Babji's elder sister to come back on the engagement day to act as if not married and Babji fixes the marriage of his elder sister with Bharat. But unexpectedly, They all come to know that the girl is pregnant and so Bharat refuses to marry. Then Venky tells Babji that his brother (who is actually Babji's sister's husband and is acting as Venky's brother) will marry his sister. Babji agrees for the wedding and in turn tells Chandrakala that she is to marry Bharat again. Through an attack incident, Venky comes to know that Bharat is Kesava Reddy's son. He tells Kesava Reddy that even Babji is aware of this fact and is planning to kill Bharat on a trip to Srisailam. Kesava Reddy ends up believing him and attacks Babji and the group on the way. He foolishly reveals to Babji that Bharat is his son and that he is aware Babji will kill him. When Kesava Reddy realizes his folly, he kidnaps Chandrakala and Bharat and escapes from the spot. Boiling star Bablu who mistakes it to be a serial shoot stops Kesava Reddy on the way which gives Venky enough time to reach Kesava Reddy. In a thrilling climax, Venky gets Babji to beat up Kesava Reddy and using his "Sympathy angle" trick, which he had earlier used to get Babji and his sister together, He gets Babji to agree for his and Chandrakala's wedding as well. The film ends with Sippy saying that with "Loukyam"(Tact), you can fool not only Babji but even God and Boiling star Bablu saying he is Cool Bablu from now on and he will do only comedy serials and not action ones.

Nagabhushanam (Mukesh Rishi) escapes a murder attempt from two assassins (Ajay & Bharani) at Coorg who later threaten him to kill soon. The story shifts to Hyderabad where Nandu (N. T. Rama Rao Jr.), a lonely college student lives. He spends his time with his friends and happens to fall in love in first sight with a girl named Akarsha (Samantha) who stays with her grandmother Baby Shalini (Rohini Hattangadi). With his wits and tactics he tries to make Akarsha fall in love with him and succeeds after a brief time. Nandu accompanies Akarsha to her sister's marriage in her hometown and by then, Nandu is treated as a family friend by Akarsha's family. That night, Nagabhushanam is killed by Nandu and those two assassins who happen to be a team. It is shown later that Nandu used Akarsha as a bait to reach Nagabhushanam to kill him.

Raghunandan is a rich, unhappy businessman based in Milan. He wishes to reconcile with his estranged daughter Sunanda whom he expelled because she married Rajasekhar against his wishes. Bhai (Akkineni Nagarjuna) is the most skilled and trusted enforcer of a Hong Kong-based Don, named David (Ashish Vidyarthi). David is heavily dependent on Bhai for his day-to-day operations and this is resented by David’s sons, James (Sonu Sood) and Tony (Ajay). David sends Bhai to Hyderabad, to finish off an undercover police officer who is disrupting the mafia operations in the city. In the due course, Bhai bumps into Radhika (Richa Gangopadhyay), a horticulturist who falls in love with Bhai after few incidents. However, Bhai never accepts her proposal. Bhai begins hunting down the undercover officer and uncovers his identity. The cop is none other than Arjun (Prasanna) and Bhai decides to finish him off. On the day of the trial, Bhai finds out that Arjun is his brother after seeing his father Raghava along with Arjun. He drops the plan and tries to walk out from the place. But the visuals of Bhai aiming Arjun with a gun are recorded about which Bhai is not aware of. However, Arjun is attacked by a few disguised armed men and all of them are killed by Arjun. Much to the shock of Bhai, one of the deceased is Tony, who sets out to India on the suggestion of James in order to kill Arjun and gain David's appreciation. David is taken aback after realizing the truth and is hell bent on killing Arjun.

Subrahmanyam (Allari Naresh) is an intelligent, hardworking software engineer. Suryanarayana / Suribabu / Suri (Jagapati Babu) is an unemployed youth in a village, who is basically jobless but then he is one man who stands first when it comes to helping others and bashing the baddies. His parents (Chalapathi Rao, Annapoorna) are worried because the girls refuse to marry him because he is unemployed. They approach the local honest leader Puttaguntla Sriramulaiah (Paruchuri Gopala Krishna) who recommend him for the job of chief minister’s personal secretary. As a secretary of CM, he takes up several issues and answers them. In the process, he realizes that the CM is crooked. Meanwhile, Suri meets Rajeshwari (Shraddha Das) and falls in love with her but as destiny would have it, his life takes a turn when Sriramulu is killed by the baddies (Anand Raj, Supreeth) including the CM. Sriramulu is more like the godfather for Suribabu and before he dies, he takes a word from him that he would enter politics. True to his word, Suribabu contests as an independent from Sreeramulu constituency and wins with a huge margin, with a twist of change He accumulates a group of 25 such independents. The results suggest a hung assembly. Suribabu offers to support whichever party that makes him the chief minister. The rest of the story is all about how Suribabu brings change with the power bestowed on him.
