Geeta Citygirl (born October 6, 1971) is an actress, dancer, director, producer and the founder and artistic director of SALAAM, the first South Asian American theatre, arts and film company in the USA. Based in New York City, the theatre company was started in the year 2000. SALAAM Theatre and Geeta Citygirl received the SAMA Award for Excellence in Theater in June 2005.

She credits her somewhat unusual name to friends' and colleagues' inability to pronounce her given name and considers it a reflection of her New York upbringing.

In 1999, Geeta Citygirl directed the American premiere of the controversial play, A Touch of Brightness by Partap Sharma at Harlem's Aaron Davis Hall. She also directed Rabindranath Tagore's Karna and Kunti as well as Badal Sircar's And Indrajit. A graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts NY and the City College of New York (CCNY), she was born and raised in New York. NY Stage credits include La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club, Theater for the New City, and Ensemble Studio Theatre.

Will Hayes, trente-huit ans, est en instance de divorce. Un jour, il va chercher sa fille, Maya, âgée de dix ans, qui vient d'assister à son premier cours d'éducation sexuelle, à l'école. Cette dernière insiste pour connaître l'histoire de la rencontre entre ses parents. Bien que réticent, Will accepte, toutefois en changeant les noms des trois femmes qui ont comptés dans sa vie, dont sa future ex-femme, ainsi que quelques faits relatifs à cette histoire. En 1992, jeune idéaliste engagé politiquement, il s'éloigne du Wisconsin et de sa petite amie, Emily, pour aller travailler à New York dans le QG de campagne de Bill Clinton, alors candidat démocrate pour la Présidence des États-Unis. Entretemps, il rencontre les deux autres femmes importantes de son existence : April et Summer. La première, employée anticonformiste au QG de campagne à la photocopieuse, travaille uniquement non pas par conviction politique, mais par besoin d'argent, tandis que la seconde, aspirante journaliste, est une vieille connaissance d'Emily.
