Frances Ruffelle (born Frances Jane Ruffell; 29 August 1965) is an English musical theatre actress and recording artist. She won a Tony Award in 1987 and represented the United Kingdom in the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Lonely Symphony (We Will Be Free)", finishing 10th. The song became a UK Top 30 hit.
In 1984, Ruffelle starred as Dinah in the original West End production of Starlight Express. From 1985, she played the role of Éponine in the original English-language production of Les Misérables in the West End and on Broadway, winning the 1987 Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. Other stage roles include, Yonah in Children of Eden (1991), Roxie Hart in Chicago (2003–2004, 2007), the title role in Piaf (2013) and Bella in The A to Z of Mrs. P (2014). Her albums include Fragile (1994), Frances Ruffelle (1998), Showgirl (2004) and Imperfectly Me (2010).
Frances married Trevor Nunn's co-director, John Caird.

Biographie
Ruffelle was born in Redbridge, Essex. Her father is a phone company engineer and manager. Her mother is Sylvia Young, the founder of the famous theatre school at which Frances trained, and her daughter is recording artist Eliza Doolittle.Frances married Trevor Nunn's co-director, John Caird.

Sarah (Roxanne Pallett) is a young woman that has been thrown out of her house by her alcoholic mother and forced to live in Albion Court, a run-down apartment building with a seedy reputation. En 1815, Jean Valjean, prisonnier français condamné à dix-neuf ans de servitude au Bagne de Toulon pour avoir volé du pain et avoir tenté de s'échapper de nombreuses fois, est mis en libération conditionnelle. La colère de Jean Valjean augmente quand son statut sous conditions l'empêche de trouver du travail ou un logement. Il est finalement recueilli par le gentil évêque de Digne, mais Jean Valjean vole son argenterie. Quand il est capturé par des officiers de police et amené devant l'évêque, il est surpris de la réaction de celui-ci, qui lui offre l'argenterie, lui disant de l'utiliser pour faire quelque chose de bon de sa vie. Valjean décide alors de déchirer sa lettre de libération conditionnelle et commence une nouvelle vie.

The girls of St. Trinian's hatch yet another fiendish plot—a trade union for British schoolgirls. Their friend and mentor, Flash Harry, suggests a plan which involves kidnapping girls from other rather more respectable colleges and substituting their own "agents".
