A series of mysterious lightning storms are wreaking havoc worldwide as they spiral through the atmosphere toward Greenland. Once they collide, they will create one massive storm that will result in cataclysmic destruction. The Rescue Heroes use their new Mission Select equipment to contain the disasters all over the world caused by these storms. But Billy Blazes is poisoned on a mission and getting weaker by the moment, and Rocky Canyon is grounded for insubordination, therefore making the team short-handed. The Rescue Heroes face their biggest challenge yet, since they must find a cure to save Billy and solve the mystery of the storms in order to save the world in time.

Première partie (Digimon Adventure) : L'histoire référence deux jeunes frères et sœurs: Tai et Kari, quatre ans avant leurs aventures dans le digimonde. La première partie nous montre la toute première fois que les deux jeunes digisauveurs ont rencontré leur tout premier Digimon. Tai et Kari se lèvent un matin et aperçoivent un digi-œuf tout droit sorti de leur ordinateur; celui-ci éclot pour devenir un Botamon. Au fur et à mesure, il se digivolve en Koromon et ensuite en Agumon (pas le même monstre que l'on voit dans la série car celui-ci est beaucoup plus immense), détruisant une partie de la ville transportant Kari sur son dos. Un second digi-œuf apparaît dans le ciel et donne naissance à un Digimon maléfique: Parrotmon. Le voyant apparaître, Agumon se digivolve en Greymon pour le combattre, mais celui-ci tombe tout de suite K.O. Tai, désespéré de voir Greymon à terre, prend le sifflet de Kari et souffle dedans pour encourager Greymon à combattre de nouveau. Une fois Parrotmon battu, Greymon disparaît avec lui dans le digimonde.

Sir Topham Hatt, the director of the Island of Sodor Railway, is on holiday leaving Mr. Conductor (Alec Baldwin) in charge. Meanwhile, while talking at Killaban station, Thomas (originally going to be voiced by John Bellis/voiced by Edward Glen) and Gordon (voiced by Neil Crone) encounter an evil and cross diesel locomotive named Diesel 10 (originally going to be voiced by Keith Scott/voiced by Neil Crone), who has a claw on top of him who he names "Pinchy" He states that he has incomplete work on Sodor. Meanwhile, in Shining Time, Mr. Conductor has his own problems as his supply of gold dust, which allows him to magically teleport from place to place, is running low and isn't enough to allow him to travel back from Sodor.
