Biographie

Divya Bharti meurt le 5 avril 1993, âgée de 19 ans, de blessures à la tête subies après une chute du balcon de son appartement, au cinquième étage, à Versova, dans la banlieue de Mumbai (Bombay).

Elle était en couple avec le producteur Sajid Nadiadwala (du 10 mai 1992 à sa mort, en 1993).

Raj (Salman Khan), chanteur, exerce ses talents sur les plages de Goa. Orphelin, il croit aux signes. Un jour, il trouve dans le sable une plaque d'immatriculation de Mumbai. Il en déduit que le destin l'appelle dans cette ville pour réaliser son rêve et devenir une pop star. Les premières auditions sont prometteuses, mais le directeur de la maison de production décède le jour où Raj doit lui remettre ses enregistrements. Estimant s'être trompé de route, Raj s'apprête à quitter Mumbai. Mais à l'instant où il allait renoncer, il est témoin d'un accident de voiture. Le chanteur s'élance et réussit à sauver la vie d'une jeune femme prisonnière de la carcasse de sa voiture juste avant qu'un train ne la percute.

Raju (Anil Kapoor) lives with his disabled mom (Farida Jalal). Aadmi is the story of an honest man (Vijay M. Srivastav) and his fight against corruption and country's traitors, but he is trapped and Jailed for a crime (murder of his own parents and brother), which he never committed. On his first day behind bars, he is approached by Inspector Yeshwant Deshmukh, who asks him to cooperate and abduct Deepak, the son of an underworld don, and if he does so, he will only aid the Police but his crime will be pardoned and he will be released. He comes out of Jail, to destroy his enemies. Among other things, this film was notable for well known villain Shakti Kapoor's rare positive role of an honest police officer.

Arjun Singh (Sunil Shetty) comes from a very poor family. He lives in a small and shabby tenement with his mom and sister. He studying in a collage where he fall in love with Deepa (Divya Bharti). In order to teach Arjun a lesson, Bhai orders people in this community to stop interacting with Arjun and his family, and as a result the three are alienated. His sister is raped, and his mother passes away. Then Bhai has Arjun captured and chained. But Arjun manages to escape, only to find that he has been framed for murder and is arrested by the police.

Rajesh Tripathi (Avinash Wadhawan) lives a poor lifestyle in a village in India along with his widower dad, Shivshankar. He leaves his father so that he can study in Bombay. During the holidays, he returns home to his village and gets a surprise when he finds that Neha has also re-located there. His overtures to become friendly with her end up in getting the police involved for alleged molestation. After clearing his name, Neha then entraps him to accompany her to an isolated shack and locks him there, which almost kills him. After this incident Neha does accept his friendship and confides in him that she can never sing as she has been poisoned by her former manager, Hari Saxena (Shakti Kapoor), so much so that her vocal cords have been damaged repair. Rajesh accepts the challenge and sets about to resurrect Neha's voice and her career - not knowing that both of them may end up being targets of Hari - who has planned a devious ending for Neha and anyone who supports her.
