Disco Shanti is an Indian film actress and an "item song dancer" who worked predominantly in South Indian cinema. Shanti has also worked in several Hindi language movies apart from appearing in movies made in other Indian regional languages. She was noticed mainly for her erotic roles and mainly appeared for item numbers in songs. Shanti was also introduced as a heroine in several Tamil movies. She was not successful as an actress and hence she turned to be an item girl again. She has appeared / acted in over four dozen movies.

Biographie

Disco Shanti is the daughter of Tamil actor "Vijayapuri Veeran" C.L Anandan. She has a younger sister actress Lalitha Kumari. She married Telugu actor Sri Hari in 1996 and stopped working in movies. Her husband Mr. Srihari, who had been suffering from a liver ailment for some time, complained of giddiness during the shooting of ‘Rambo Rajkumar’ being directed by Prabhu Deva with Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead. He was rushed to a hospital where he died later.

Jesu and Peter are childhood friends who live in a coastal village in India and depend on fishing as their livelihood. The community is oppressed by a powerful gangster named Alphonso. Jesu is an orphan, while Peter is brought up by his aunt and uncle, after the death of his mother. The community is all thrilled when Phillips finds black pearls off the coast. But then so does Alphonso, who asks his divers to get all the pearls, thus disturbing the ocean. Peter meets with Suzy D'Silva and they fall in love with each other, and get married. While enjoying a quiet swim on the sea-shore, Suzy disappears. A search is carried out, and a number of human body parts are recovered. With shock and horror, this community finds that their livelihood is being threatened by a gigantic, virtually indestructible man-eating shark.

Uma (Urvashi) marries Balu (Ramki), an honest civil engineer. Uma thinks that he is rich and receives lot of bribes but turns out Balu is from the middle-class like her. Uma is a miser and dreams to become rich. After few years, they have two children. In the meantime, Priya (Kushboo), the daughter of Balu's boss Rajasekhar (Rajasekhar), falls in love with Balu and asks him to marry her unaware of Balu's marriage and his two children. Balu refuses to marry her as he was already married but she compels him. When Priya meets Uma, she offers her one crore rupees in exchange for marrying Balu. Uma immediately agrees and she starts forcing Balu for remarriage. Finally, Balu agrees with heavy heart as Uma threatens to commit suicide. Soon, Balu also starts falling in love with Priya. Uma slowly realizes her mistake and wants to get Balu back. The rest of the story is what happen to Balu, Uma and Priya.

Raj Solanki (Naseeruddin Shah) règne sur la pègre de Mumbai. Il doit faire face à l'incompétence de son fils Deepak (Deepak Tijori), manipulé par un autre gangster, David (Gulshan Grover), qui voudrait le renverser, ainsi qu'à l'arrivée d'un nouvel inspecteur de police particulièrement déterminé, Jai Bakshi (Ajay Devgan). Or ce dernier est son fils illégitime. Jai, qui l'ignore, tente de mettre fin aux activités de Solanki, avec l'aide de Sandhya (Juhi Chawla), une inspectrice dont il est amoureux. Solanki ne souhaite pas affronter Jai, et lorsque ses deux fils entrent en conflit prend son parti et lui sauve la vie. Jai découvre que Solanki est son père, mais ne renonce pas pour autant à l'affronter. Solanki accepte alors de se rendre à la police. Mais Deepak et David prennent la mère de Jai en otage. Jai, Sandhya et Solanki parviennent à la libérer, mais Solanki, après avoir révélé à Deepak sa relation de parenté avec Jai, meurt en sauvant ses deux fils désormais réconciliés.

The film begins with Jayanthi (Jayasudha) gives birth to baby boy Chinna (Master Prabhu) in jail. Since Jayanti is a life imprisonment prisoner, she keeps sentry Shantamma (Nirmalamma) as her son's guardian. Papa Rao (Kota Srinivasa Rao) maternal uncle to Jayanthi and his Hari (Srihari) always harasses Jayanti for her property. Radha (Soundarya) a young and beautiful girl falls in love with Krishna, but he rejects her love because of his hatred on women. After some time, Krishna also understands her love when Radha tries to commit suicide. Meanwhile, Chinna grows up 10-year old boy and Shantamma is getting old day-by-day Jayanti decides to hand over Chinna's responsibility to Krishna. Shantamma says Chinna that Krishna is his father, from that day Chinna follows him like white on rice, torches him a lot and also spoils marriage life of Krishna and Radha.
