Devaraj (Kannada: ದೇವರಾಜ್) is an Indian actor and theatre actor who works in South Indian film industries. He has largely featured in Kannada films performing various roles as a lead character, supporting character and villainous character. He has also featured in a few Tamil and Telugu films.
Having worked for over 200 feature films, Devaraj is popularly referred to as a "Dynamic Hero" in the Kannada film industry. Prior to acting in films, Devaraj has performed for various stage plays under the guidance of Shankar Nag and B. Jayashree. Devaraj has won several awards and accolades including the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actor for his portrayal as the protagonist in the film Veerappan in 1991.

Biographie
Devaraj married actress Chandralekha in 1986 whom he met on the sets of his earliest film Sikku. Following this, they appeared together in the 1987 film, Kendada Male. Sharath Chandra is a rich, unhappy businessman based in Zurich. He wishes to reconcile with his estranged daughter Saraswathi whom he expelled because she married Prakash against his wishes. His grandson Bhargava Chandra promises Sharath Chandra that he will bring her back to their home on his 75th birthday. Saraswathi has three daughters: Two of them are Indira and Rukmini. Bhargava enters the house as Chandu, a driver who was appointed by Prakash after saving him from a heart attack. Bhargava tries to woo Indira but gives up when he learns that Indira is in love with another man. Rukmini hates Bhargava and is suspicious of him.

Master Jagannath (Vishnuvardhan) is a disciplined school teacher happily married to Sneha (Suhasini). They both have a girl child named Meghana. His daughter is very close friends with Minister's daughter Aditi. Meanwhile, an underworld don Appu (Mukesh Rishi) is under the captivity of the Government and his aids are in a rage to get him released. By mistake, they kidnap Jagannath's daughter Meghana and demand for the release of Appu in exchange of Megahana.
