Clarissa Burt is a former model supermodel and award-winning actress, best known for starring as Xayide in the 1990 film The NeverEnding Story II: The Next Chapter. She has worked as model in the 1980's and TV presenter in the 1990s. In 1999 she opened up her television production company, Numen International in Rome, Italy.

Biographie

Clarissa’s journey to internationally renowned supermodel, entrepreneur, television/video producer, public speaker, author, writer, award-winning actress and emcee has all the makings of a best selling novel. At 18, Clarissa was a top model with the Wilhelmina Modeling Agency in Manhattan. Soon after she moved to Milan and quickly began appearing on over a hundred magazine covers such as Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, and Cosmopolitan as well as on most of the major runway shows in Milan, Rome, Paris, New York, and Japan. This led to work for cosmetic houses Revlon, Dior, and Carita’, Helena Rubenstein and her selection as the worldwide “Face” for Orlane Cosmetics.

Clarissa has performed in over 20 movies and can be remembered in award winning films such as Warner Brother’s “The Never Ending Story, part II,” where she played the Mean Queen “Xayide” and as Giulia in the Italian production “Caruso Pascosky di Padre Polacco”.

This Who’s Who of International and American Women added television producer to her credits in 1999. Clarissa Burt Media Group founded in Italy began with productions that included the nationally broadcast three-hour live broadcast of the Miss Universe Pageant, “The World Sports Awards”, “Quizzauto” and “Behind the Scenes with The Miss” all garnering her various coveted media awards internationally. Moving into radio production, “Clarissa Burt Talks” featured this multi-talented media celebrity on Voice America and World Talk Radio where she interviewed knowledgeable entrepreneurs and prominent thought leaders.

A leading authority on beauty, image, and self-esteem, “Good Morning, Italy” called upon Clarissa to host the popular beauty segment, “Clarissa Suggests.” Clarissa Burt Hair extensions and accessories and Clarissa Burt Beauty Facial cremes were successfully launched on Home Shopping Network Italy and are currently being launched here in the US. December 2014, Ms. Burt will launch her new completely “clean” cosmetic line which promotes health, non-toxic cosmetics for women.

Clarissa is the Beauty Editor for such international publications as The LA Fashion Magazine, Fashion Faces, Runway and Woman and Bride. You can find her articles also in The Huffington Post, Supermodels Unlimited, Bella Petite, Discover Phoenix, and Today’s Innovative Woman to name a few. In 2012-13, Ms. Burt also co-authored the best sellers The Rise, Off the Coast of Zanzibar and Stickability with Greg S. Reid and was featured in the book Women without Barriers by Dolores Seright. Sharon Lechter highlighted Clarissa in her 2014 release Think and Grow Rich for Women.

Ms. Burt’s extensive international social work garnered her two private audiences with Pope John Paul II. As a women’s advocate and a leader of social change for a new standard of living Clarissa was instrumental as Ambassador to the United States for the Walking Africa campaign that awarded African Women the Nobel Peace Prize in 2011.

Clarissa currently sits on the Board of The California Women’s Conference which boasts 10,000 visitors in two days in Long Beach, California.

Clarissa’s mission is an always will be the betterment of young girls and women. Founder and CEO of T.E.N. The Envelopment Network and Envelop-Her.com, Ms. Burt’s ‘Look Good, Feel Good, Be Good and Do Good’ philosophy promotes healthy self esteem aiding women and girls to pursue their greater good. Her book “The Self-Esteem Regime “ is due for Fall 2015 distribution. Through this global community every women is truly a T.E.N.
