Chinni Jayanth (born Krishnamurthy Narayanan on 26 July 1960) is a Tamil director, Producer, Comedian, Actor, and Mimicry Artist, who has appeared in many Main, Character and Supporting roles in Tamil films. He is also a popular Television personality having hosted innumerable Hit shows like 'Sagalai Vs Ragalai ', 'Kalakka Povathu Yaar ' and the popular show Asathapovathu Yaaru on Sun TV in Chennai. He is also the recipient of the prestigious Kalaimamani award given by the Government of Tamil Nadu for excellence in the field of Cinema . He received this award from the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu at a glittering function at Valluvar Kottam.

Le film tourne autour d'un villageois, qui avait partagé une forte amitié avec un acteur de cinéma populaire dans sa jeunesse. Ramakrishnan (Prabhu Ganesan) has a suspicious-minded wife, Mythili (Abhirami), who thinks he is always having an affair with another woman, even though he is extremely faithful to her and wouldn't dream of betraying her in any way. Vishva (Livingston) has been married to a trusting Amudha (Vindhya) for several years. Seemingly unknown to Amudha, he has been having several affairs with numerous gorgeous women, but in the end she reveals that she knew all along and thought that he would change ("I want you to be my husband in all my births"). There is also Ramakrishnan's friend Thiru (Prabhu Deva) who falls accidentally in love with Susi (Gayatri Raguram). Ramakrishnan meets Tilotama (Monal) who is a call girl (She is set up by Vishva and he goes abroad). Mythili goes to her relatives house for two days, at which point Thilothama arrives to meet Ramakrishnan. Ramakrishnan considers sleeping with her but determines not to have the affair. But his wife, having forgotten something, comes back just in time to see her husband with Thilothama. Then some fun and twists come and they all get caught including Ramakrishnan. At the court Ramakrishnan's wife wants divorce. Ramakrishnan manages to convince his wife that he is true to her, and they live happily ever after. Thiru settles down as well, after Ramakrishnan discovers that his wife is pregnant.

Thiyagu (Vikram), a Medical College Student, leads a gang of four to abduct corrupt politicians and bureaucrats who use the loophole in law to enjoy their prison term in hospitals or guest houses. Deiva (Anitha), a school girl and daughter of Sandana pandian (Nassar), a police officer on the trail of the mysterious gang, has a crush on Thiyagu. She is not aware of his real identity. The reason for Thiyagu to take up illegal activities is out of frustration. His collegemate Kavitha (Jayaseal) commits suicide when she doesn't get any support from him in her effort to expose a drug sale racket in the medical college. This shocked him and spurred him into taking law into his own hands. Nabbed by Sandana pandian and hauled before the special court, Thiyagu reveals the crimes committed by those he had kidnapped. He offers to free them if they are sentenced to life imprisonment. When the judges refuses, the public storm the court. In the melee, Sandana pandian lets the gang members go scot free along with his daughter.

Sanjay (Prashanth) and Nithi (Shalini) are best friends right from their childhood days. They are neighbours, have grown up together, attend the same college and spend every minute of their waking hours together. Both have their admirers in college with Sneha (Jomol) wooing Sanjay and Praveen (Krishna) revealing his love for Nithi. Nithi's week-long trip to Bangalore, along with some prodding by his housemaid, makes Sanjay realise how much he misses Nithi and that he is in love with her. But respect for their friendship and her makes him hide his feelings. Meanwhile, Nithi accepts Praveen's proposal and things quickly move towards their marriage. But when things come together Nithi realises that she cannot stay without Sanjay and at that time he reveals that he too loves her.
