Ambika Mohan was born at Panamanna, Ottapalam, Kerala. She is bought up at Pallivasal, Munnar, since her father was working at Electricity broad, Pallivasal power house. Ambika is married to Mohan who works as an engineer in K.S.E.B. The couple have two daughters. Her younger daughter Rhomy Sreekumar won Amrita TV's Vanitha Rathnam title in 2008. In a remote village in Kerala named Brahmamangalam, the people have a passion for cricket. From India winning their first Cricket World Cup in 1983, to present times, the story follows the father-son relationship of two generations.
