Adinath Kothare (Marathi: आदिनाथ कोठारे) (born Adinath Mahesh Kothare on 13 May 1984) is an Indian Marathi film actor, director, Film and Television Content Producer. He is the son of famous film maker and actor in marathi film industry Mahesh Kothare. He had worked with Pritish Nandy Communications Ltd. as an associate executive producer and with PVR as a Management Trainee- Film Marketing.
Adinath Kothare first appeared on screen as a child actor in his father Mahesh Kothare's film Maza Chakula (1994). In (2013) he is acted in his father's first marathi true 3D film Zapatlela 2, a box office hit which was released on 7 June 2013 and was the sequel of his father's Mahesh Kothare's 1993 box office block buster marathi film Zapatlela. Adinath Kothare acted in Renu Desai's produced and directorial debut marathi film Ishq Wala Love (2014) along with Sulagna Panigrahi, which is released on 10 October 2014.

Jay (Adinath Kothare) is an orphan raised by and is financially supported by his Uncle Satyavan Makarand Anaspure. Satyavan lives in Dubai with his secretary (Pushkar Shotri).Satyavan sends Jay a monthly alllowance to cover his expenses . Jay has friends called Veeru (Siddharth Chandekar) and Vasanti (Mrunmayee Deshpande) are buddies who are fun loving people with no worries about the future, they will do anything for money and have a good life. Veeru’s father own a scrap business and wanted his son to start taking control of it but Veeru has personal terms. Jay has girlfirend named Isha (Pooja Sawant).Isha is very rich. The film opens within the mansion of Baba Chamatkar (Raghvendra Kadkol). Kubdya Khavis has secured the doll containing the soul of gangster Tatya Vinchu (shown in prequel Zapatlela) and orders Baba Chamatkar to revive Tatya Vinchu again. However, Baba refuses to commit the same mistake again. Infuriated, Kubdya tries to kill him using a trishul (a weapon which looks like a trident). However, Baba uses the same weapon to kill him. A drop of Kubdya's blood is accidentally transferred towards the doll, which resuscitates Tatya Vinchu. Tatya confronts Baba Chamatkar and forces him to tell how to migrate to a human form. Baba resists in the beginning and then falls unconscious. Tatya finds a book named 'Om Fat Swaha' and discovers that, to migrate to a human form, the victim (Tatya) must make use of the Mrutyunjaya Mantra on the person to whom he has confessed his true name. But now that the person (Lakshya, portrayed by Laxmikant Berde in Zapatlela) is dead, the same mantra can be used on his son. Tatya vows to find Lakshya's son and migrate into his body.

Kaustubh(Mihiresh Joshi) is an innocent little boy. He loves to live in his imaginative world that is full of wonders and adventures. The tales that his grandma, Aaji(Sulabha Deshpande) tells him is the base on which he has built a few fantasies. The Dashavtar tales from Indian mythology are his favourite. These tales are based on Lord Vishnu’s Ten avatars. Kaustubh has also learnt through these tales that Lord Vishnu’s tenth avatar, the Kalki avatar is going to be in Kaliyuga, the modern era we are in. Innocent mind of Kaustubh, who is in his fourth standard, is captured with the imagination that he himself is that Kalki avatar. His close friend Mangya(Yash Kulkarni), who is equally thrilled with this idea, confirms his belief. A few incidental coincidences validate Kaustubh’s imagination. Once he is convinced, he shares this secret with Amod(Adinath Kothare), the young engineering student that is a tenant in Kaustubh’s home. Amod who is atheist by nature, does not pay much attention. Convinced by the idea of being the Kalki avatar, Kaustubh becomes so confident that he tries the biggest adventure he is possessed with since quite long. He gets injured and suffers from a fractured leg. This acts as a big blow to Kaustubh’s fantasy and his emotionally driven imaginative world gets shattered. He finds it difficult to come to terms with the reality and goes in a shell. He starts avoiding his dear friend Mangya and even everybody at his home. Observing his strange behaviour, the Doctor advises Kaustubh’s parents to consult a psychiatrist. But they don’t act upon the advice in anticipation of the social stigma.Kaustubh’s mother(Leena Bhagwat) realizes that Kaustubh who feels so detached from everyone, is pretty comfortable with Amod. So she requests Amod to help Kaustubh come out of this emotional turmoil. Amod accepts this challenge and in an attempt of getting into the crux of the problem, gets friendly with Mangya. He then understands that thereal cause is Kaustubh’s fantasy based passion of becoming an avatar. Amod shares with Kaustubh a different perspective about the very concept of the avatar and slowly helps him come out of the mental stress he is facing. Kaustubh with Amod’s help overcomes the depression and regains his confidence.
