The Stooges are conmen who are selling phony racing forms to everyone especially they sold one to a man which he said that the racing form was expired and the stooges stole his money and threatens to call the cops. After evading the policeman they help a destitute mother and her daughter by utilizing the money from the child's piggy bank, and ultimately winning a horse race. Riding high on their win, the boys come across two swindlers who trick them into buying retired race horse, Seabasket (a play on Seabiscuit). Broke again, the Stooges start taking care of the old horse, with Curly managing to accidentally swallow a Vitamin Z pill meant for the horse. However, the error allows Curly to give birth to a colt, which they crown as another winning race horse.

David Palmer, un jeune chimiste, retourne à la ferme de son père dans l'Indiana, pour épouser une institutrice locale, Ruth Treadwell. David rencontre à nouveau l'entraîneur de chevaux de son père, Ben Lathrop, dont la fille, Cissy, a quitté le lycée pour aider son père. Palmer se marie et devient riche grâce à une invention, et est capable de satisfaire sa femme socialement ambitieuse. Son père meurt et Palmer retourne en Indiana, où son intérêt pour les courses attelées est ravivé, tout comme son intérêt pour Cissy Lathrop.
À sa fin de chance, l'agent de jockey "Boots" Malone est à un dîner avec son ami "Stash" Clements lorsque l'adolescent en fuite Thomas Gibson Jr. essaie de payer son repas avec un billet de cent dollars. Lady Helen Forbes, a recently widowed aristocrat is planning to make the journey in spite of the disapproval of her social set who consider it unseemly to go while still in mourning. David Scott, a newspaper cartoonist is ordered to go by his editor against his wishes. Meanwhile, as part of a charity raffle, a dissolute film star, Gerald Berkeley, is to escort a wealthy grand dame to Epsom for the day something he is equally reluctant about. Happily she falls and injures her leg, and her crafty housekeeper arranges for one of the young maids to go in her place. Meanwhile, in Battersea, a lodger kills a man whose wife he is having an affair with. They plan to flee the country, and also head to Epsom where he knows a tipster who can smuggle them out.

Lucius, Boon et Ned, un domestique noir, arrivent à Memphis au volant de la voiture volée qui est revendue, à l'insu de Boon et Lucius, par Ned, pour acquérir un cheval. Pour pouvoir racheter le véhicule et rentrer au bercail, ils organisent une course de chevaux avec paris, à laquelle Lucius participera en montant le cheval de Ned.
Le film raconte l'épopée d'un cavalier dans les paysages afghans, cherchant à oublier le souvenir de sa défaite dans un tournoi équestre, le Bouzkachi, à Kaboul.
Sujet: A la mort de ses parents, tués au cours d'un terrible accident, Sarah Brown est recueillie par sa tante Velvet, une ancienne championne d'équitation. La jeune fille quitte alors l'Arizona pour aller vivre en Angleterre. D'abord passablement déroutée par cette toute nouvelle existence, Sarah finit peu à peu par s'y habituer, soutenue par Velvet et son compagnon John. La jeune fille se prend à son tour de passion pour les chevaux, au point de vouloir suivre les traces de sa tante en se lançant elle aussi dans la compétition. Entraînée par le capitaine Johnson sous l’œil exigeant de Velvet, elle est finalement sélectionnée pour les jeux Olympiques.
Fils du légendaire jockey Ray Oliver, disparu tragiquement dans un accident de voiture, Damien Oliver reprend le flambeau familial et décide de participer à la célèbre Melbourne Cup.
