Yun Hota To Kya Hota (Hindi: यूँ होता तो क्या होता, Urdu: یوں ہوتا تو کیا ہوتا, English: What If?) is a 2006 Hindi drama film. The film directed by Naseeruddin Shah stars Konkona Sen Sharma, Ayesha Takia, Jimmy Shergill, Paresh Rawal, Boman Irani, Saroj Khan and Irfan Khan. The film explores four stories which eventually become intertwined with 9/11.
Synopsis
The story revolves around a group of people who were not connected to each other in any way other than by ill fate. These were people from different parts of India who had traveled to the US and now were boarding the ill-fated flights that crashed into the Twin Towers and Pentagon on 9/11. The story tells us about the horror of the hijack and some of the incidents that occurred on board during those horrific minutes. Some of the characters in the film die in the accident.Acteurs

Rizwan Khan est un petit garçon musulman qui grandit à Borivali, dans la banlieue de Mumbai (Inde), entouré de l'affection de sa mère. Celle-ci, malgré son comportement déroutant, lui inculque les valeurs de tolérance, d'amour et de justice. Adulte, Rizwan rejoint son frère émigré aux États Unis où sa belle-sœur lui diagnostique un syndrome d'Asperger (l'un des segments du Trouble du spectre de l'autisme). Alors qu'il travaille pour l'entreprise familiale, Rizwan fait la connaissance et tombe amoureux de Mandira, Indienne et hindoue. Malgré la différence de religion, ils se marient et vivent heureux avec le fils que Mandira a eu d'un précédent mariage. Mais après le 11 septembre les choses changent, la famille est en butte à l'ostracisme anti-musulman et, accablée de douleur, Mandira rejette son mari qu'elle rend responsable du drame qui les frappe. Pour reconquérir la femme qu'il aime, Rizwan entreprend un long périple afin de faire savoir à tous que "Son nom est Khan et qu'il n'est pas un terroriste".

New York begins in the United States in 2008, with the arrest by the FBI of Omar Aijaz (Neil Nitin Mukesh) after guns were found in the trunk of a taxi cab he owned. Omar, a young Muslim man originally from Delhi, is then taken into custody and interrogated by FBI Agent Roshan (Irrfan Khan) (also a Muslim man originally from South Asia who has been living in the United States for twenty years). Omar then discovers that he was set up by the FBI in order to force him to spy on a former college friend, Samir Shaikh (John Abraham), whom he hasn't seen in seven years and who the FBI believes is a terrorist. In the process, Omar discovers that Sam has married Maya (Katrina Kaif) (a mutual friend whom Omar had a crush on in university) and finds out that Samir and Maya have a young son, Danyal (Aidan Wagner).

Au Canada, l'écrivain Yann Martel écoute les confessions d'un Indien qui lui raconte l'histoire extraordinaire qu'il a vécue lorsqu'il était adolescent. Cet homme se nomme Piscine Molitor Patel (d'après la piscine Molitor) et est le fils du directeur d'un parc zoologique à Pondichéry. Durant son enfance, Piscine, qui était le souffre-douleur de son école à cause de son prénom, a décidé de se présenter comme étant « Pi ». Sa famille, ne pouvant plus tenir le zoo, décide de déménager au Canada et de vendre leurs animaux. Pour ce faire, ils embarquent à bord d'un cargo pour traverser l'océan Pacifique, mais celui-ci fait naufrage. Pi se retrouve à la dérive dans l'océan à bord d'un canot de sauvetage accompagné d'un zèbre, d'une hyène, d'un orang-outan, d'un rat et d'un tigre du Bengale appelé Richard Parker. La hyène, agressive, tue le zèbre, puis l'orang-outan. À son réveil, le tigre tue la hyène. Seul à bord avec Richard Parker, Pi va tout faire pour essayer de survivre et maintenir une bonne entente avec l'animal.
