Nadiadwala & Ronnie Screwvala under the banner of UTV Motion Pictures. The film features a large ensemble cast of Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Katrina Kaif, Paresh Rawal, Malika Sherawat and Feroz Khan in last film appearance, whilst Sunil Shetty makes a guest appearance and Malaika Arora Khan appears in an item number.
Welcome released worldwide on 21 December 2007, to mixed critical reviews and despite initial competition from Taare Zameen Par, was a strong financial success at the box office both in India and overseas. The film's climax scene is said to be inspired from the Charlie Chaplin movie, The Gold Rush.
Synopsis
Uday (Nana Patekar), a criminal don, takes it upon himself to get his kindhearted sister, Sanjana (Katrina Kaif) married, but he is unsuccessful since no one wants to be associated with a crime family. Dr. Ghunghroo (Paresh Rawal) has also been trying to get his nephew, Rajiv (Akshay Kumar), married but due to his condition—the alliance must be with a purely decent family—he is also unsuccessful.Acteurs

Rohit (Harman Baweja) has an over-protective businessman father. Every decision in Rohit's life is taken by his father. This causes Rohit frustration. He half-heartedly agrees to become engaged to a rich man's daughter, but then falls for a middle-class young woman called Natalie (Genelia Deshmukh). Kishen (Anil Kapoor) a une femme jalouse, Kaajal (Lara Dutta), qui croit toujours qu'il a une maîtresse, alors qu'il lui est extrêmement fidèle et n'a pas la moindre idée de la trahir. Prem (Salman Khan) est mariée depuis plusieurs années à Pooja (Esha Deol) qui lui fait confiance alors que, à son insu croit-il, il entretient de nombreuses liaisons avec des jolies femmes, mais à la fin elle lui révèle qu'elle savait tout dès le début et pensait qu'il allait changer (« Je veux que tu sois mon mari chaque fois que j'aurai un enfant »). Il y a aussi l'ami de Kishen, Sunny (Fardeen Khan) alias Shekhar, qui tombe par hasard amoureux de Sanjana (Celina Jaitley). Kishen rencontre Bobby (Bipasha Basu), une call-girl. (Elle a été recrutée par Prem, qui a surpris Kishen prenant des photos de lui et de sa maîtresse et menacé de les envoyer à sa femme. Le plan est que Kishen tombe amoureux d'elle, et Prem veut voir s'il pourra cacher sa liaison.) Par la suite, Bobby et Kishen sont présentés comme un couple aux fiançailles de Shekhar et il se trouve que Kaajal est, elle aussi, invitée au mariage de Sunny et Sanjana. On devine comme la situation s'embrouille au moment où tous les couples se rencontrent.

Yash (Sanjay Dutt) and Raj (Akshaye Khanna) are small-time crooks and childhood buddies. Raj wants to lead an honest life, but Yash always manages to do something that jeopardises Raj's chances of turning over a new leaf. When Yash robs the First Village Bank, the innocent bank manager, Zandulal (Paresh Rawal), gets blamed, because he had sheltered Yash and Raj under his roof. Raj Goyal (Akshaye Khanna), a young and successful criminal lawyer, famous for never having lost a case, is introduced to popular singer Sargam (Urmila Matondkar) by music magnate Ashwin Mehta (Vijayendra Ghatge). The following day, Ashwin is brutally murdered in his own house. The murderer, Taran Bharadwaj (Ajay Devgan), who is Sargam's childhood friend and current mentor, is caught red-handed at the crime scene.
