Waxie Moon in Fallen Jewel is a pop-art musical comedy from cult filmmaker, Wes Hurley. It stars the renown performance artist, Marc Kenison as his gender-bending burlesque personae Waxie Moon, as well as The Stranger Genius-award winners, Sarah Rudinoff, Marya Sea Kaminski and John Osebold, Nick Garison, Keira McDonald, Sage Price, Brandon Petty, Erin Emlyn Badenhop, Inga Ingenue, Lou Henry Hoover, with memorable cameos by Jinkx Monsoon, Lynn Shelton and Jackie Hell, among others. The film also features an original soundtrack with music by Campfire OK, Jose Bold, Gretta Harley, We Are Golden, The Little Penguins and Brendan Patrick Hogan. Two songs were arranged and recorded exclusively for the film by Eric Lane Barnes - his original composition "Everything is on Fire" performed by Sarah Rudinoff and a techno version of "Cold Song" performed by Nick Garison. Wade Madsen, Anna Allen, Inga Ingenue and Waxie Moon choreographed the film's many dance sequences. Several hundred looks were created for over 200 performers by the costume and makeup designer, Harmony Arnold. The Genius-award winner Jennifer Zeyl served as the art director for the film.
Although, primarily a comedy, Waxie Moon in Fallen Jewel experiments with narrative structure by switching genres to mirror Waxie's social standing and emotional state, and in the process eschews Hollywood's traditional treatment of its female protagonists. Other experimental elements in the film include the generous use of Bertolt Brecht's alienation effect and its highly stylized movement and blocking, which often reference choreographers such as Martha Graham.
The film premiered in Tel Aviv and went on to screen in Scotland and Japan. After its initial premiere in Seattle, Waxie Moon in Fallen Jewel became a local cult favorite. In Seattle the film continues to screen monthly in the tradition of The Rocky Horror Picture Show with live performances and hosts such as Jinkx Monsoon, Jett Adore, Ben DeLaCreme and Sarah Rudinoff. Many of these screenings benefit local charities.

Anselme et Victor, deux vieux, cohabitent tant bien que mal. Victor, acariâtre, soupe au lait, a perdu sa femme depuis 8 ans. Il ne manque pas une occasion d'humilier Anselme. Rejoints par Anna, qui se dit cantatrice, ils préparent la fête de la musique, sous la direction d'un Victor tyrannique et méprisant qui vexera Anna, au bord des larmes. Anselme ronge son frein .Il se venge en précédant Victor sur la tombe de Louise. Il y écrit un texte signé S qui laisse supposer que Louise avait un amant. Victor venu se recueillir juste après au cimetière est bouleversé. Il veut retrouver le mystérieux corbeau qui signe S, et qu'il croit avoir été l'amant de sa femme. Il est sûr que c'est Anselme, mais celui-ci le convainc du contraire, et se montrera plein de compassion pour Victor. Tout en multipliant dans son dos mots et lettres anonymes signés S. Anselme ira jusqu'à acheter un canari jaune, le tuer et le poser sur le rebord de la fenêtre. Victor y verra probablement le présage du cocu anéanti.

Frustrated butcher Fred Ramsden (Windsor Davies) and his dim electrician mate Ernie Bragg (Jack Douglas) happily head off for a fishing trip while their respective wives Sylvia (Liz Fraser) and Vera (Patricia Franklin) look forward to their health farm holiday. Once at the caravan site of Major Leafe (Kenneth Connor), Fred starts making eyes at a couple of gorgeous campers, Carol (Sherrie Hewson) and Sandra (Carol Hawkins). However, as Ernie talks in his sleep and any infidelities are likely to be repeated in the marital bed after their holiday, Fred is despondent. Professor Roland Crump (Kenneth Williams) teams with Roman expert Anna Vrooshka (Elke Sommer) in an archaeological dig at the site. Arthur Upmore (Bernard Bresslaw) and his wife Linda (Patsy Rowlands) are saddled with her mother Daphne (Joan Sims) and her vulgar mynah bird. Arthur is caught in a compromising position with blonde babe Norma Baxter (Adrienne Posta) whose husband Joe (Ian Lavender) is lumbered with their giant wolfhound. After a few pints with the amused pub landlord (David Lodge), Fred and Ernie discover that the caravan site is riddled with excavation holes. Daphne is perturbed by the discovery of her estranged husband, Henry Barnes (Peter Butterworth) living a downtrodden life as the camp's odd-job man, despite having won the pools. Major Leafe is determined to give the place a boost and arranges an evening cabaret for the caravanners but a mix-up over the phone secures a stripper, Veronica (Jenny Cox), rather than the singer he wanted. With Carol and Sandra having hooked up with archaeology students, Bob (Brian Osborne) and Clive (Larry Dann) Fred and Ernie pick up Maureen (Diana Darvey) and Sally (Georgina Moon), a couple of beauties from the village. Some wet paint, the rain, the collapsing tunnels and their wives soon bring their planned night of passion to a halt.

Stucker, Minor and Pataki are cast as a gay fashion designer, a horny soul brother (catchphrase - "this is the best lookin' piece I've seen in a long time!") and an incompetent impressionist, respectively. The three escape their mental asylum and sexually assault their way into a girls' school. Their broad, knockabout performances attempt to keep the film's (fairly objectionable) content amusing rather than disturbing. The entire female cast comprises softcore porn models (mostly drawn from men's magazines of the era) who don skimpy karate costumes and violently turn the tables on their tormentors.
