The film stars Nandha and Sherin. The storyline is based on the problems and difficulties between a love marriage and arranged marriage. The movie was shot in Chennai, ECR, Puducherry, Goa, and Jothpur. About three songs were shot in Bangkok and its surroundings. Dinesh Lambha was introduced as the villain in this movie and Vivek also plays a prominent role in the movie.
Ranjit Barot wrote the film's music. The film was initially titled Coffee Shop, but in order to receive government funding, the producers gave it a Tamil name.
Synopsis
The film revolves around Jency (Sherin), who is a close friend of Ganesh (Nandha). When Ganesh decides to open his heart and express his love to her, she informs him that she would be engaged to Nicholas (Dinesh Lamba), who is a rich entrepreneur in London. The film is somewhat similar to Hindi film Humko Deewana Kar Gaye.Acteurs

The film begins with murder of Swetha a college student which is considered as accident. The scene shifts to college. Anjali (Gayathri Raguram) & Jeeva (Vikramaditya Shukla) are college lovebirds. Maya (Sherin) has a crush on Jeeva. They along with their friends spend happy days in college. One day, Vinod is murdered by Naga which is witnessed by Anjali. But no one believes her. Subsequently two other friends are murdered by Naga. In the fear, Anjali reveals the past to Maya that during the school days how the six members ragged a village girl, Sarawathi (Divyadarshini) and she committed suicide of six, four are murdered. She thinks the murders are related to the incidents. In the turn of events, it is shown that Jeeva is the murderer. On the same night, Sharmi is murdered before Anjali by Naga. Later, it is revealed the actual murderer is Maya who is the sister of Sarawathi. Later, Jeeva saves Anjali and Maya is killed. The comedy track of the movie follows the theme of the Hollywood movie What Women Want.

Aarusaamy (Vikram) is the Deputy Commissioner of Police of Tirunelveli who efficiently brings the city under control. When the day comes that everyone in Kausalya's grandfather's's home find out that Suresh and Kausalya are in love, they try to get Chithambaram (Kausalya's father) to agree to the wedding. He, however stubbornly sticks to his decision that the marriage should not take place.
