It featured debutant Shanthnoo Bhagyaraj, son of veteran actor K. Bhagyaraj, in the lead role while Ishita Sharma and Vedhika played significant roles.It featured a successful soundtrack composed by A. R. Rahman, with the song "Taxi Taxi" sung by Benny Dayal becoming popular before the film's release. Sakkarakatti released on 26 September 2008 and was panned severely by critics and audience and became a box office bomb with the only uplift to the movie being its sound tracks.
Synopsis
Chennai-bred Yuvraj (Shanthnoo Bhagyaraj) has had four close friends from childhood. He meets and falls in love with Deepali (Ishita Sharma). However, his cousin, Reema (Vedhika), is in love with him. After Deepali sees Yuvraj with Reema, she becomes jealous and ignores Yuvraj when he follows her. Then Yuvraj and Deepali get back together. Later she sees Yuvraj and Reema together, but it was an accident. Deepali starts ignoring him again. Yuvraj wants to prove that he was not with Reema so his friends decide to throw a birthday party to mend the trio's fractured relationship. Deepali and Yuvraj finally unite.Acteurs

Gopi and Hari, two unemployed graduates, share a room and live together in Madras. While Gopi is looking for a job, Hari aspires to become a music composer in the film industry. Tej Dhanraj perdit sa mère à l’âge de 8 ans, marqué par ce drame, il fut toujours entouré par les plus belles femmes du monde. Allergique à l’idée du mariage et collectionnant les conquêtes, ce playboy, finit malgré tout par se marier à une jeune femme innocente et ravissante : Samarpreet. Orpheline, elle vient de la campagne du Penjab (au nord-ouest de l’Inde) et pense avoir trouvé le partenaire idéal. Pourtant ce mariage n’est qu’une mascarade et n’était que la condition sine-quanone pour que Tej puisse hériter de la fortune considérable de son père décédé quelque temps plus tôt. Après son mariage et sans attendre, Tej délaisse sa femme et retourne à ses loisirs favoris dans les îles, il rompt tout contact avec elle, mais afin que le mariage garde toute validité il fait parvenir régulièrement à la famille de Samarpreet de grosses sommes d’argent. Ailleurs sur l’île, Pawan (Shah Rukh Khan), homme d’affaires accompli, s’est construit un empire qui s’étend sur trois continents, âgé de 38 ans, il est cultivé, énigmatique et se présente comme le roi des Caraïbes. Il est amoureux fou de la sublime Shimmer (Sushmita Sen), mannequin de renommée mondiale qui est considérée comme le diamant brut de l’île et qui se trouve être une amie de Tej. La ravissante Samarpreet décide de faire le voyage du Penjab aux Caraïbes pour venir chercher son mari et son arrivée risque de tout chambouler sur la petite île.

Nandha (Nandha Durairaj) is an upright sub-inspector of police who has been transferred fifteen times in three years. He is then transferred in a police station based in Pollachi. There, the inspector of police Pandian (Natarajan Subramaniam) is in the pay of Periyannan (Rajagopalan), the local minister who runs in own government in the place. Nandha is shocked to note that Pandian and the entire police department is corrupt. Thereafter, Nandha tries hard to enforce the order. Soon, both policemen will clash. Pandian becomes a honest policeman after Periyannan's men attempt to kill him and he is revived with blood transfusions from the public. However, Nandha does not believe that he has truly changed. After a fellow honest sub-inspector gets killed by Periyannan's men, Nandha blames Pandian and through short routes becomes inspector himself. He arranges for Periyannan and his men to clash with Pandian, but in the ensuing fight, Pandian kills them all while Nandha walks away.
