Le film commence dans le passé avec une mère et une fille chinoise. Elles semblent passer des moments heureux ensemble. On peut voir que la mère est enceinte d'un autre enfant. Le film passe au présent, où un couple heureux Krish (Siddharth) et Lakshmi (Andrea Jeremiah) font l'amour, en discutant de leurs souvenirs du temps ils se sont rencontrés et comment leur amour s'est épanouit. Ils découvrent soudainement qu'une famille déménage dans la maison d'en face. Krish est un neurochirurgien qui se spécialise dans la stimulation cérébrale pour guérir la maladie de parkinson. Il est proche d'un autre médecin, le Dr Prasad, qui est psychiatre. Les deux familles s'entendent bien. Jenny, la fille aînée apprécie beaucoup Krish. Tout va bien, quand soudain, au cours d'un dîner, Krish voit Jenny de sauter un puits, il saute dans le puits et la sauve. Cette même nuit, Jenny est attaqué à des convulsions et une fois de plus, Krish la sauve dans le temps. Les personnes dans la maison commence à remarquer des choses étranges. Lors d'un autre dîner dans la maison de Krish, Jenny a de nouvelles paniques en voyant un visage et ses parents la ramène de force à la maison. Son père l'emmène voir un psychiatre et elle révèle deux choses qu'elle pensait anormales: une voix lui parle en Chinois et un autre incident s'est passé dans les toilettes. Le psychiatre sent que quelque chose va mal et va visiter sa chambre, avec la permission de son père, qui la fait sortir. Le psychiatre avec Krish et son père, font un nouveau test qui les conduit à découvrir que Jenny est possédée par une femme Chinoise. Les trois planifient de faire faux exorcisme avec l'aide du Père Joshua, dans le but de faire partir l'esprit. Cela se passe mal, l'esprit se défend et le prêtre blessé est admis à l'hôpital.

15 years after an accident in which Bala's parents both died, Bala returns with wife, Revathi, and son, Anand, to his hometown. They decide to stay a couple of nights in the massive house that he grew up in. As he spends a few days in the house and recalls his memories, Anand- who has a disability to speak- sees movement around the house. But he cannot tell anyone what he witnesses. Soon Revathi who suffers from claustrophobia, deduces poltergeist activity in the house and so tells Bala that they have to go back to Chennai. Anand enjoys being in the presence of the ghosts and doesn't find any problem. Problems come up between the couple that they had never thought of when they had love marriage. Soon Revathi discovers that they did not come on holiday but in fact, came to escape some rowdies that Bala owes money to. This is when Bala's classmate and business partner, Jeeva, arrives to stay with them. His company had borrowed 40 lakhs from a rowdy and over the months it had increased to 50 lakhs but he is unable to pay back any money as his agent, who was supposed to give him 2 crores, runs away and is nowhere to be found. With the help of ghosts, Bala and his family find a way to escape from being kept under house arrest. Bala's partner who has been jealous of him had the money the whole time to pay the rowdies.

Sivarama Krishna (Sunil) and Karthik (Naga Chaitanya) are brothers, who are poles apart. Siva is a timid one while Karthik is a stronger and clever one. The film opens in a rundown pigeon shop in New York City where an old man feeds them. He then sends one pigeon away. It flies high and lands in a skyscraper off the office window of a psychologist who is conducting a session with her client Nirupama (Pooja Kumar), a nuclear oncologist, who begins to confide that hers was a marriage of convenience that provided a safe haven for pursuing her PhD in the U.S.A. for past three years and that her husband Vishwanath alias Viz (Kamal Haasan) is a middle-aged Kathak teacher. She is also put off by Viz's effeminate bearing and is attracted to her boss, Deepankar (Samrat Chakrabarti). Doubting whether her husband has secrets of his own, she hires a private investigator to tail him to probe grounds for divorce. She learns from the private investigator that Viz is a Muslim. In a sudden turn of events, the investigator is killed in a sea-side warehouse by Farukh, a prominent member of the terrorist outfit led by Omar (Rahul Bose). A diary on him gives away Nirupama and the terror group led by Farukh nabs the couple. Deepankar is later killed by Farukh's men.

Nihal Singh (Gippy Grewal), living in the village of Nalun tattebha is considered a burden on the head of villagers and they all decide to throw him out of the village on the advice of Sarpanch (Avtar Gill). Nihal's mother is a widow who lost her husband when Nihal was only a few years old. The movie is told through the narration of Ashley (Sunny Wayne) who is working in merchant navy & he is signing off in kochi for the second time. The movie plots ahead with Ashley recollecting the events happened in his last sign off at Kochi . Rasool (Fahadh Faasil) is a tourist taxi driver from a modest area in kochi city. He falls in love with Anna (Andrea Jeremiah) a Latin Christian girl who works as sales girl in a popular apparel shop. It takes time for Rasool to convince Anna and make her understand his love for her, he always follows her on the ways and on the boat on which she travels regularly to her work place.One day Ashley has to pick his relative from the textile shop.Using Rasool he plans to pick them up in his taxi and there he finds out that Anna is also going to return home in the same taxi.They make a quick pit stop at a church where Anna leaves her bag in the taxi. Rasool peeks inside and gets her number from the phone. Rasool is nervous and shy at first but his friends persuade him to text her through phone. no replies comes at first. then one day, Rasool approaches Anna and tells her that he loves her. Anna is surprised and stunned and moves away without an answer.The following day Rasool is sick and stays home. Anna boards the ship like every other day but is anxious since Rasool was not around anywhere she went that day. Anna seems restless as she cannot stop thinking about Rasool and why he had not come to see her.She could not wait longer and she desperately texts Rasool on the phone. Rasool on receiving the message rushes to see Anna. Anna further tells that she is scared and tells him it will not work out. Rasool then explains that he loves her no matter what and religion does not affect his affection towards her. Then Anna calls him one day to go to a convent where a nun tries to persuade Rasool to change his religion for marriage which Rasool declines. In the later part of the movie, we will understand that this nun is Anna's elder sister who had gone to convent after a love failure. Ashley who had a soft corner for her does not reveal it to her even after knowing about her love failure.

Chandrasekhar (Mohanlal) is made the head of the Metro Crime Stopper Cell in Kochi. Chandrasekhar arrests Jerome, a psychologically deviant man and rescues three girls he had kidnapped, but his ex-wife Deepthi (Priyamani) manages to get Jerome sent to treatment in a psychiatric facility, rather than a prison sentence.
