The film credits Toshio Yasumi as principal screenwriter despite his not being involved with the production. Instead, Yoshimitsu Banno revised his script for The Last War (1961) and Yasumi was credited out of respect.
The film is notorious for its rarity. After complaints from a "No Nukes" group in Tokyo, Toho pulled the film from circulation in 1980.
Synopsis
Professeur Nishiyama, après avoir étudié et l'interprétation des prophéties de Nostradamus, se rend compte que la fin du monde est à portée de main. Malheureusement, personne ne l'écoute jusqu'à ce qu'il soit trop tard. Comme les effets de l'altération de l'humanité de la terre - nuages de smog radioactifs, animaux hideusement mutées, la destruction de la couche d'ozone - rage hors de contrôle, les dirigeants du monde dévalent aveuglément vers la confrontation finale.Acteurs

The water planet Aquarius is heading towards Earth after flooding the home planet of the warrior race of the Dinguil. The Dinguil use warp technology to make the planet move towards Earth faster than usual. The warrior race plans to flood Earth and make it their new home. When Earth learns of this, they make plans to evacuate humanity. Unfortunately, the Dinguil destroy the evacuation fleets. The Yamato and her crew face the onslaught of the Comet Empire, a civilization from the Andromeda Galaxy that seeks to conquer Earth, led by Zwordar the Great (Prince Zordar in the English dub). Un étrange astéroïde s'écrase sur Terre et l'équipe du professeur Murai part enquêter sur place.
