Synopsis
Sanjeev (Jayaram) is a police officer who lives with his widowed father and two younger sisters, after death of his mother. He is also a singer in the police troupe along with his partner Salperu Sathanandhan (Jagathy Sreekumar), who is living with his two wives. One day he falls in love with young Geethu (Abhirami), who is the daughter of the director general of the police. The girl is a pampered child, who is spoiled by the love of her parents. Harikrishan (Jayaram) is the youngest son of Thrivikram Muthallali. His brothers Jayakrishnan and Gopikrishan are not as handsome as him. Payyarathu Padmanabhan Nair(Kalamandalam Kesavan), who is a well known personality is Praised by the people. He loves his family more than his life but they eyes on his wealth. On the day of his niece Meenakshi's wedding day he meets with a young man Ramanathan(Jayaram). Ramanathan be friends with him and Padmanabhan Nair likes Ramanathan's qualities. It was later revealed that Ramanathan is the son of Padmanabhan Nair and Sankunni's younger sister Saudamini. Slowly Ramanathan gets into the family to stay with his father. There he strikes with Payyarathu Padmanabhan Nair's neice and his cousin Gopika(Divya Unni) and she dislikes him as the other family members too. The men of the family sells the kitchen's rice and other goods without Padmanabhan Nair's knowledge. Ramanathan and Sankunni came know about this. They tries to prevent this action. The family members reveals the truth to Padmanabhan Nair that Ramanathan is Sankunni's nephew and they thrown out of the house. Later Padmanabhan Nair asks Sankunni 'Who is Ramanathan ?' and Sankunni reveals the truth. Padmanabhan Nair rushes to his son and hugs him. But he is in delema that he wanted to accept his son but he can't reveal the truth to the family to save his reputation. The hurted Ramanathan Challenges his father he will accept and tell the truth to whole family.

Appu (Jayaram) and Maya (Manju Warrier) were childhood sweethearts, and their parents had agreed to their marriage. Appu is treated by Maya's father as his own son and this makes her uncle jealous of him. Maya's mother belongs a branch of local royal family. Subhash Chandra Bose aka Kochu Kurup heard a phone call by a teenage girl named Padmaja 'Pappi' Warrier and soon falls in love with her. But his parents send him to Bangalore to his best friend Kartik aka Aniyankutty (Dileep), who is a rich womanizer. Aniyankutty also falls in love with Pappi, but he does not disclose this to Kochu Kurup. Kochu Kurup's father brings a marriage alliance to him, but he says that he is not interested, not knowing that the alliance was with Pappi herself. However, Kartik gets to know this, and he helps Kochu Kurup to cancel the wedding since he has an eye on her.
