Synopsis
Sur les docks de La Nouvelle-Orléans, une annonce d'embauche pour ouvriers se transforme en bagarre menée par des représentants du raquetteur Floyd « Zero » Saxon (Michael Ansara), qui cherche ainsi à attiser la concurrence. Quand l'ancien officier de la marine Dan Corbett (Arthur Franz) arrive sur les docks pour travailler, il est repoussé par la bagarre. Il change alors d'avis et négocie un LSM pour lancer sa propre entreprise de transport maritime. Mais pour ça, il doit travailler au chantier naval en servant les dockers à la cantine.Acteurs

Marc Antoine, général romain, cousin et lieutenant de Jules César, a rencontré la reine d'Egypte, Cléopatre, lors de la campagne d'Afrique. Tous deux filent le parfait amour, mais Antoine est rappelé à Rome par la mort de sa femme Fulvia. Antoine doit épouser Octavie, la soeur d'Octave pour se réconcilier avec lui. Mais, après l'assassinat de Jules César, il la quitte aussitôt pour retourner auprès de Cléopatre et tous deux s'opposent à la puisance de Rome. Après la bataille d'Actium, Antoine est poursuivi jusqu'à Alexandrie par Octave et est battu définitivement par les légions romaines. Il apprend la fausse nouvelle de la mort de Cléopatre et se suicide sur son épée. Transporté dans le mausolée où s'est réfugiée Cléopatre, il meurt dans ses bras. La reine, pour échapper à Octave, choisit de se faire mordre par un aspic.

A narcotics agent convinces a convict he helped send to Alcatraz go undercover with him to help expose a heroin drug smuggling ring. The unlikely pair travels from San Francisco to Vancouver and finally to a dude ranch in Tucson which is run by mob bosses. They end up getting help breaking the case from the gang leader's dingy blonde girlfriend (Winters), who falls for the narcotics agent during the sting.

New York theatrical producer Larry O'Brien (Conte) plans to found a motion picture company in Hollywood. He buys an old studio which was unused since the days of silent movies. There he's shown the office where a famous director was murdered twenty years earlier. Although there were many suspects the case hasn't been solved. O'Brian becomes fascinated by the subject and decides to make a film based on the case. To this end he begins interviewing the surviving participants and soon gets into danger himself. In the end it turns out that the murderer is the victim's jealous brother.

Portly amateur detective Runyan is hired by dental nurse Adams to investigate the unexplained murder of her boss. Suspicion falls on disappeared patient Clark, who had been helped by probable gangster Gordon. Runyan finds Boyd, Clark’s former lover and briefly his wife, who reveals that Clark had done time in jail. The police tell Runyan it was for robbery of half a million unrecovered dollars. In jail, Clark had a cellmate Deets, with whom he shared everything. On release, Deets had claimed Clark’s share of the loot from Gordon and had promised to eliminate Clark, whose corpse he left in a burnt-out truck. When he realised Clark had been having dental treatment, so his teeth could be identified, he killed first the unfortunate dentist and then the nurse as well. Runyan tracks him down and in a final shoot-out he meets his end.
