Synopsis
Début des années 1960. Copains depuis l'âge de 7 ans, Niila et Matti vivent à Pajala, bourgade paumée du nord de la Suède. Il ne s'y passe jamais rien, sauf quelques tensions entre Suédois et Finlandais de souche, la majorité d'entre eux parlant un étrange volapük. Ici, les "vrais hommes" lèvent bien le coude, chassent l'élan et font beaucoup d'enfants qu'ils n'hésitent pas à battre pour leur apprendre le respect de Dieu. Tout change le jour où Niila échange la bible de sa grand-mère contre un 45-tours des Beatles. Avec leur nouveau professeur de musique, lui et Matti décident de monter un groupe de rock... Une tragi-comédie exquise et très rythmée, qui joue sur une multitude de registres : on y trouve à la fois le côté chronique adolescente du Péril jeune de Cédric Klapisch, le psychédélisme d'Emir Kusturica, le laconisme d'Aki Kaurismaki et les doutes d'Ingmar Bergman. L'occasion aussi de revoir la sublime Kati Outinen, qui interprète la mère de Niila.Acteurs

A church is burning. Firefighters rescues several people from the fire. But left in the Church is Eva (Josefin Nilsson), a blonde girl dressed as the Saint Lucia. One of the firefighters, Adam (Björn Kjellman), returns to the church to save her. They unite in a kiss and the ending credits starts rolling. After the credits are done you hear Adam ask, "Is it over now?". Four years later, Adam is sitting at the breakfast table thinking that the relationship is routine. Everything is predictable. Eva wants a baby and buy a house but Adam is not willing to take responsibility. He is afraid of being a regular Joe as his brother Sven (Reine Brynolfsson). Adam and Eva celebrates midsummer with Sven's family and friends. A lot of people have their kids with them. Åke (Jacob Ericksson) starts singing songs with dirty lyrics. Sven stops him, whereupon Åke goes away in protest to sit down and talk with Eva. At night, Adam meets Sven's and his wife Kicki's (Katrin Sundberg) young nanny Jackie (Dubrilla Ekerlund).

The film is based around the life of Mona Berglund, a mother-of-four obsessed with the Eurovision Song Contest - so much so, that her house is decorated with posters of her idols, and she has named her children after Swedish Eurovision performers: Kikki, Anna Book, Lena PH and Carola. Her partner Bosse is unemployed, and she is left to feed the family. Her brother, Candy, is a transvestite and an AIDS-sufferer who designs clothes. David, Mona's employer, a cerebral palsy-sufferer, is a proficient songwriter however, and composes a song which Mona steals and sends a demo of (with her own lyrics) into Melodifestivalen, the Swedish heats for the Eurovision contest. Much to Mona's delight, the song qualifies for the finals. Mona's new-found fame takes her to unexpected places, including a TV interview, and an invitation to lunch at Berns. Throughout, the film, though, Mona is torn as to whether she should reveal that she was not in fact the only writer of her song, and thus risk losing the public's support.

Katrine va se marier avec un fiancé magnifique dont les parents sont riches et ils vont habiter un luxueux appartement. Son seul problème, c'est qu'elle a parfois des difficultés à dire la vérité. 1909, Suède. Le jeune Henryk Bergman suit des études de théologie. En dépit de l'opposition de sa famille, Anna, apprentie infirmière d'origine bourgeoise, l'épouse. An antropomorphic dog named Sture is talked into taking a trip to Paris by his friend Picasso. After a series of misfortunes they end up in Scotland instead, staying at a mysterious hotel. Picasso remains ignorant and believes they are in Paris.
