Love in Limbo is a 1993 Australian comedy film directed and produced by David Elfick, and starring Craig Adams, Aden Young and Russell Crowe. The film was released in Australia on 20 May 1993. Visually the film was heavily influenced by The Girl Can't Help It (1956). It was nominated for three awards by the Australian Film Institute in 1992.
Synopsis
It's the 1950s – the era of rock 'n' roll and the birth of the teenager – and three friends have their minds on just one thing...oh, and losing their virginity. Expelled from school after his lucrative sideline in nude female drawings is discovered, sixteen-year-old Ken (Craig Adams) is sent to work for his uncle's clothing company. Desperate to ape the wooing techniques of office lothario Max, Ken hilariously comes a cropper in love...until he decides that a visit to a brothel is the only answer. Libidos run rampant as he teams up with mates Arthur (Russell Crowe) and Barry (Aden Young) on a trip to Kaligoorlie's infamous red light district. Romance isn't only in the minds of the youngsters however, as smitten by the 'Max' factor, Ken's glamorous mother embarks on an affair of her own. Will sexual fantasy live up to the reality for all concerned.
