Last Frontier Uprising is a 1947 western film directed by Lesley Selander for Republic Pictures and starring Monte Hale and Adrian Booth.

Synopsis

American government horse purchaser Monte Hale (Monte Hale) meets his match in both love and profession, private buyer Vance Daley (Malcolm "Bud" McTaggart), who works under unprofessed criminal "Liberal" Lyons (Philip Van Zandt). Hale and Daley attend a horse auction, and fight for Texan rancher Mary Lou Gardner's team of prized colts. When a victor cannot be determined, the gauntlet is thrown – the two men must compete one-on-one in a horse race; the victor will win the colts.

Bob and Chito are two unemployed and down on their luck travelling wranglers who help an older man, Ben Jason replace the broken wheel on his wagon in a desolate part of Arizona. For their generosity they are given a gold nugget and an offer of "pick and shovel" work on Ben's place. Visiting Matt Wyatt, an assayer in the nearest town, Bob and Chito are told that the nugget is of such purity that it must be from the Lost Dutchman's Gold Mine, a long lost mine that became a legend due it's wealth. Chito reveals that Ben Jason gave them the nugget. Matt schemes with the town boss, Anse Morgan to steal the map of the mine from Ben before he stakes his claim. Ben is murdered with Bob and Chito blamed by Ben's daughter Judy. Bob and Chito break jail and set matters right.

Au Texas, dans la région de Wilcox, une bande de hors-la-loi, menée avec un chef surnommé Diablo Kid, effectue des raids meurtriers sur les fermes des environs. Le gouvernement envoie alors deux Texas Rangers, Tim holt et Chito Rafferty, afin d'enquêter sur cette affaire. A leur arrivée, ils se présentent comme des cowboy à la recherche d'un emploi et se rendent dans le ranch de Trewitt où ils font la connaissance de Gale Trewitt, de son jeune frère Artie et de leur oncle Henry. Durant un hold-up par la bande, Tim est blessé alors qu'il était sur le point de capturer un des bandits.
