A hero of World War I, Colonel William Duncan (Don Douglas), is on his deathbed. Madge Stone est heureuse. Fred Burke, son fiancé, lui annonce qu'il a décroché une promotion et une augmentation qui vont hâter leur mariage et leur installation à Boston.
