Hole in the Paper Sky is 2008 short drama film directed by Bill Purple and produced by Jessica Biel and Michelle Purple of Iron Ocean Films. It stars Jason Clarke, Jessica Biel, Garry Marshall, Stephen Collins and Jeff Nordling and features an original score by Kerry Muzzey. It was released August 7, 2008 at the HollyShorts Film Festival.

Synopsis

Howard Ferp (Clarke), is a brilliant but misanthropic, math genius who inexplicably becomes drawn to a friendship with a doomed laboratory dog.

Le téléfilm couvre la vie de Cohn; de l'enfance à son ascension au pouvoir comme bras droit de McCarthy dans le sous-comité interne de sécurité du Sénat, à son éventuel discrédit public un mois avant sa mort en 1986 due au sida. Il est dit dans la plupart des flashbacks lorsque Cohn se meurt dans un hôpital de Virginie au cours de ses hallucinations que ses nombreux ennemis (de Robert Kennedy à Ethel Rosenberg condamnée en tant qu'espionne communiste, envoyée à la chaise électrique) le hantent. Le téléfilm traite des aspects de la vie de Cohn comme son homosexualité cachée et l'importance de sa culpabilité dans le retour de la "peur du rouge" dans les années 1950. Le film dépeint Cohn comme un personnage antipathique, bien qu'il présente également d'autres épisodes de sa vie, au cours desquels il se montre plus sensible, plus compatissant. Notamment à la mort de sa mère bien-aimée.

The series begins with Scarlett attending the funeral of Melanie Wilkes, her ex-sister-in-law and rival for Ashley Wilkes' affection, at which her estranged husband, Rhett Butler, is not present. In rural Australia, two men meet for a drug deal and exchange suitcases wordlessly. When the buyer checks the drugs, he discovers that he has been cheated, but an explosive hidden in the suitcase kills him before he can retaliate. The seller puts a suitcase full of cash in his car and speeds down the highway to Neverest to meet a contact. As he recklessly attempts to pass another car, he swerves off the road to avoid a collision and dies. A man involved in the crash, Colin, discovers the suitcase and gives the driver of the oncoming car a ride back to Neverest. There, he meets Frank, a local cop, and Colin discovers that the other driver is Frank's wife, Jina. Colin hands the money over to Frank, who invites Colin to stay overnight while Colin waits for his car to be repaired. When Frank leaves to secure the cash, Jina unsuccessfully attempts to seduce Colin. When Colin notices a bruise on Jina, she claims that Frank beats her, but Colin becomes suspicious when he hears Frank and Jina have rough sex, which she seems to enjoy.
