Haraamkhor (English: The Wretched) is an upcoming 2015 Indian Hindi film directed by Shlok Sharma. The film is co-produced by Shlok Sharma, Vishakha Singh, Guneet Monga and AKFPL. The film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Shweta Tripathi. The First look of Haramkhor was out on 8 March 2015. Jasleen Royal is the music composer of the film. The film is a love story that revolves around a delicate relationship between a school teacher in a small Gujarati town and his teenage female student. The film was shot in 16 days only. In April 2015, a FIR was registered against director Shlok Sharma on a complaint by Balbharati, Maharashtra’s textbook bureau, objecting to striking similarities between its logo and promotion scenes from Haraamkhor. Haraamkhor was premiered in 15th annual New York Indian Film Festival (NYIFF) and Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA). Nawazuddin Siddiqui received the Best Actor award for the film at the New York Indian Film Festival.

New York begins in the United States in 2008, with the arrest by the FBI of Omar Aijaz (Neil Nitin Mukesh) after guns were found in the trunk of a taxi cab he owned. Omar, a young Muslim man originally from Delhi, is then taken into custody and interrogated by FBI Agent Roshan (Irrfan Khan) (also a Muslim man originally from South Asia who has been living in the United States for twenty years). Omar then discovers that he was set up by the FBI in order to force him to spy on a former college friend, Samir Shaikh (John Abraham), whom he hasn't seen in seven years and who the FBI believes is a terrorist. In the process, Omar discovers that Sam has married Maya (Katrina Kaif) (a mutual friend whom Omar had a crush on in university) and finds out that Samir and Maya have a young son, Danyal (Aidan Wagner).

A reporter interviews Paan Singh Tomar (played by Irrfan), a dacoit who is in the news for killing 9 people of a community. Answering questions about himself, the story goes in a flashback in year 1950. Paan Singh works in the Army while his wife and mother live in Morena. He surprises his seniors in the Army with his athletic skills. Though he was not interested in sports, he joins the sports division because there were no limits on their diet. Picked for the 5000 metres race's training, he was persuaded to run for the 3000 metre steeplechase by his coach. He participates in the Indian National Games and wins the gold medal in the steeplechase event 7 years in a row. In 1958 he participates in the Asian Games at Tokyo, but couldn't win because of his inability to adjust with the track spikes only given to him in the final event. He felt frustrated when he was not allowed to go the borders to fight in the 1962 and 1965 wars because sportsmen were not allowed to fight in them. In 1967, he participated in the International Military Games and wins the gold medal in the steeplechase.

Chaque jour à Bombay, près de 200 000 gamelles (dabba) préparées à la maison sont livrées par les dabbawallahs sur leur lieu de travail aux employés de bureau. Ila Singh, une jeune femme au foyer de la classe moyenne hindoue, tente de reconquérir son mari qui la délaisse en lui confectionnant des repas merveilleux. Au Canada, l'écrivain Yann Martel écoute les confessions d'un Indien qui lui raconte l'histoire extraordinaire qu'il a vécue lorsqu'il était adolescent. Durant son enfance, Piscine, qui était le souffre-douleur de son école à cause de son prénom, a décidé de se présenter comme étant « Pi ». Sa famille, ne pouvant plus tenir le zoo, décide de déménager au Canada et de vendre leurs animaux. Pour ce faire, ils embarquent à bord d'un cargo pour traverser l'océan Pacifique, mais celui-ci fait naufrage. Pi se retrouve à la dérive dans l'océan à bord d'un canot de sauvetage accompagné d'un zèbre, d'une hyène, d'un orang-outan, d'un rat et d'un tigre du Bengale appelé Richard Parker. La hyène, agressive, tue le zèbre, puis l'orang-outan. À son réveil, le tigre tue la hyène. Seul à bord avec Richard Parker, Pi va tout faire pour essayer de survivre et maintenir une bonne entente avec l'animal.

Gustad Noble (Roshan Seth) is a Parsi bank clerk who lives with his family in Bombay (Mumbai) just before the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. At first he seems to be a self-centred, self-involved, neurotic man who is so tied up in his own pain for perceived slights both past and present that he cannot seem to connect with either friends or family. He is haunted by memories of a privileged youth and his father's fortune, lost to the machinations of a scheming, unscrupulous uncle. He is baffled by the changes wrought in his eldest son, Sohrab (Vrajesh Hirjee), who is having a difficult coming of age. A childhood friend, Jimmy Bilimoria (Naseeruddin Shah), has become a swashbuckling, swaggering member of the military. At the beginning of the movie, Major Jimmy has abandoned a lifelong friendship with Gustad without warning or explanation, and Gustad is angry and resentful over the desertion. Soon the Major contacts Gustad, ostensibly to restore their friendship, but in actuality he uses their past acquaintance to impose on Gustad for help in a clandestine plan to put money into the hands of rebels in East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) When Gustad has second thoughts and tries to back out of the plan, the family cat is killed in a gruesome way and left for Gustad to find with a threatening note attached.
