Synopsis
Cinq candidats sont en lice pour un siège de député. La démocrate-chrétienne Bianca Sereni, féministe avant la lettre, fait poser ses affiches par des prostituées et finit par tomber amoureuse d'un homme payé par les mêmes démocrates-chrétiens pour la photographier dans une situation compromettante. Elle découvre le traquenard et pourtant décide de se retirer et de se mettre avec cet homme.Acteurs

In Italy, during 1943, two men collide during the bombing of the Nazis and American allies. Antonio is a thief who disguises himself as a priest for the robberies at the stations; Vittorio Cotono is a marshal upright who's chasing Antonio, and that in the end, to a misunderstanding, he is forced to do so by Marshal dress. Antonio is excited about the new appointment, and Vittorio meanwhile disguises himself as a priest. Sandro Collauti (Michel Constantin) est chauffeur routier international et fait équipe depuis de nombreuses années avec Matteo Zaghi (Enzo Fiermonte). Le jour de la visite médicale, Matteo est recalé et par conséquent doit arrêter d’exercer le métier. Sandro a pour nouveau compagnon de route Nino Patrovita (Giancarlo Giannini), un autre chauffeur rencontré le jour de la visite avec qui le courant n'est pas trop bien passé entre eux dû aux caractères opposés des deux hommes. Malgré cela, au fil du temps passé ensemble dans un camion, un lien d'amitié se tisse entre Sandro et Nino qui finiront par s'associer et devenir transporteurs indépendants. Mais leurs débuts en tant que patrons ne seront pas de tout repos.

The film is divided into four episodes. In the first Paolo Villaggio plays the role of a sailor from Genoa who learns from his doctor that he will soon become a woman. He begins to make plans and to daydream of what it will be like to be a woman. In the second episode Adriano Celentano is a former dancer in Emilia Romagna who now trains a woman for boxing fights. When he meets a beautiful emilian girl who is enrolling in a dance competition where a large sum of money will be awarded to the winners, Adriano does not miss the opportunity. He first tries to kill the boxer woman he works with, called "King Kong" and then leaves to go dancing with the girl, winning one turn after another. But as the couple wins the first prize Adriano is arrested by the police. In the third episode Renato Pozzetto plays the role of a poor mason from Milan who bets with some friends that he will be able to seduce the wife of his boss. Renato will succeed but will pay the consequences. In the last episode Alberto Sordi plays the role of hick Roman Nando Moriconi (same character of the film Un americano a Roma by Steno - 1954), this time he works as a body guard of a prominent Italian financier who has been the victim of many attempts to kidnap him .
