Gangotri is a Telugu film which released on March 28, 2003 and was directed by K. Raghavendra Rao. Allu Arjun and Aditi Agarwal played the lead roles. This was Allu Arjun's first film as an actor and K. Raghavendra Rao's 100th film as director. Allu Aravind and C. Ashwini Dutt, both who are big-time producers, produced the film. The film was later dubbed into Malayalam under the name Simhakutty. The film story line nearly equals Victory Venkatesh's previous film Chanti.
Synopsis
Neelakantham Naidu (Prakash Raj) is a big factionist. He has a loyal confidant Narasimha (Suman), who is willing to give his life for the sake of his master. After many years, Neelakantham's wife (Pragathi) gives a birth to a baby girl. But all the earlier babies born to Neelakantham died due to some unknown reason. The priests advise Neelakantham to name his daughter as Gangotri. They also warn Neelakantham that the child has 'jalagandam', hence they ask Neelakantham to take Gangotri to the holy place of Gangotri in the Himalayas and perform 'abhyangana snanam' (bathe with turmeric, milk, etc.) for the next 15 years. After 15 years, Gangotri would be free of any danger. When nobody could entertain the child Gangotri, Simhadri, the son of Narasimha entertains her with a song. Simhadri becomes a servant and friend to Gangotri. They grow up together. Simhadri (Allu Arjun) and Gangotri (Aditi Agarwal) are good friends. In the mean time, Simhadri's mother (Seetha) sacrifices her life to save Neelakantham. When Gangotri attains puberty, Gangotri's paternal aunt (Telangana Shakuntala) restricts Simhadri from meeting Gangotri as it would be wrong. Gangotri and Simhadri realise that they are in love. When Simhadri comes to Gangotri's place clandestinely to meet her, they are caught by Neelakantham. Neelakantham beats Simhadri. Meanwhile, Narasimha comes to the spot and interferes. This causes a rift between Neelakantham and Narasimha. Neelakantam is misinformed about Narasimha's intentions; hence he has bombs planted in the house of Narasimha. Simhadri is away at that time. When Simhadri comes to know that Neelakantam is responsible for the bombing, he comes to Neelakantam's house and challenges that he will marry Gangotri in 365 days. Then Simhadri goes to the holy place Gangotri and waits for his ladylove to come there for the final sacred bath. The rest of the film is about how Simhadri and Gangotri unite.Acteurs

The film starts with the penance of Sage Bhadra who becomes a hill with the blessings of Lord Rama. In later centuries, Dammakka, the tribal lady and worshiper of Lord Rama unearths and looks after the idols of Rama on the hill and awaits someone who can construct a temple there. On the other hand, Gopanna and his cousin Kamala fall in love and marry after a small conflict with their parents. After the marriage, Tanisha, the emperor of Golconda, with the recommendation of Akkanna and Madanna (the uncles of Gopanna), appoints Gopanna as Tehsildar of Husnabad. Thus, a Muslim who had been the Tehsildar to the place is dethroned for the sake of Gopanna. That ignites disgust among a few groups who attempt to murder Gopanna. However, Dammakka saves him while he lies unconscious on the bank of Godavari. She shows him the place of Bhadragiri and Gopanna becomes an ardent devotee of Rama. After a series of incidents, he decides to construct the Rama Mandir on the hill. He collects funds from people and with the help of Kabirdas, his guru, completes the construction of the temple. Lord Rama, Lakshmana, Seetha and Anjaneya live in invisible forms in the place during the construction. They keep on guarding Gopanna until he accomplishes his mission. Thus, with immense bhakti on Lord Rama, Gopanna becomes Ramadasu.

Vedam revolves around 5 principal characters. Vivek Chakravarthy (Manoj Manchu) is an upcoming rock star in Bengaluru who hails from a family of decorated army officers. His mother wants him to follow the same path but he isn't interested. He is about to give his first live concert on New Year's Eve with his band-mates in Hyderabad. However, Vivek is late to catch the flight and so the band is forced to travel by road. After sometime, one of their tyres get deflated. Not having a spare, the other friends go to get the tyre inflated leaving Vivek and Lasya (Lekha Washington) alone. Meanwhile, they are attacked by a Hindu racist group. However, they manage to get out of the mess with the help of a Sikh truck driver (who incidentally gets involved in an earlier altercation with Vivek). The band successfully reaches Hyderabad. However they suffer a minor accident there which involves a mother in labour. So Vivek and Lasya take her to a hospital nearby.

Michael est un bon comédien, qui a cependant du mal à trouver du travail en raison de son caractère trop exigeant. Il accompagne son amie Sandy à une audition pour un rôle dans une série télévisée, mais celle-ci n'est pas retenue. Fâché par ailleurs avec son propre agent qui tente de lui faire comprendre qu'il est son pire obstacle pour faire une vraie carrière, Michael décide de se déguiser en femme et de passer lui-même l'audition afin de démontrer qu'il peut tout faire. Il est engagé et apporte dès les premiers jours de tournage un vrai plus à son personnage et au soap dans lequel il joue. Il garde cependant le secret vis-à-vis de Sandy, qui a été rejetée des auditions pour le rôle. Écoutant les remarques des actrices du feuilleton, il fait de Dorothy un étendard de la cause féminine, ce qui le rapproche de plus en plus de Julie, une partenaire d'écran, et l'éloigne lentement de Sandy à qui il avait promis de ne pas se comporter comme ses précédents amants.
