Captain John Smith and Pocahontas is a 1953 American historical film directed by Lew Landers. The distributor was United Artists. It stars Anthony Dexter, Jody Lawrance and Alan Hale.
While most scenes were filmed in Virginia, exteriors were shot around Bronson Canyon. It depicts the foundation of the Jamestown Colony in Virginia by English settlers and the relationship between John Smith and Pocahontas. She married John Rolfe in real life. It is also known by the alternative title Burning Arrows. although most of the film was shot with a minimum budget, it has gained a cult following.

Synopsis

Le capitaine John Smith surmonte la traîtrise de certains de ses hommes et le ressentiment des Amérindiens locaux pour établir la colonie de Jamestown.

Ellis (Onslow Stevens) runs Trans-Andean Air Service, a run-down company transporting supplies from Dalgado, a tiny, remote outpost, over the Andes Mountains to some mines. Paul protects him as best he can, as he has fallen in love with Lee. She eventually confesses that she loves him.
