The film features Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Bhoomika Chawla and Aryeman Ramsay in lead roles. It released on 12 January 2006, and received mixed response from critics, however bombed at the box office.
Synopsis
The story is based on the concept of karma and bad deeds. Viren Sahai (Amitabh Bachchan), is an underworld don who rules over India. His son Abhir (Sushant Singh) is spoilt and believes he can do anything due to his father's power. When Viren's enemy Khan (Kader Khan) attacks Abhir, Viren demands revenge. Viren receives full proof information that Khan will be hidden at an local cinema theater on an particular date. The plot then moves onto the life of a simple cook, Shekhar Bhatia (Akshay Kumar) who is married to Dr. Kavita (Bhumika Chawla). Shekhar lives with his parents, wife and his younger brother Aryan (Aryeman Ramsay). When Aryan runs away from home, Shekhar searches the whole city to find him. During his search, he witnesses Viren attacking the cinema theater in which Khan is hidden, and decides to help the innocent people in the cinema.Acteurs

Iqbal Ansari (Atul Kulkarni), accusé d’actes terroristes, doit être transféré de Chadanghbad à Mumbai afin d’y être jugé. Une première attaque du convoi provoquant la mort de plusieurs policiers incite la police de Mumbai à envoyer une nouvelle équipe chargée du transfert du prisonnier. La mission est confiée à Anant Kumar (Amitabh Bachchan), policier à la veille de la retraite et à la carrière ratée, sans doute parce qu’il n’a jamais cédé à la corruption régnant dans le milieu. Il accepte cette mission, pensant être enfin reconnu et finir en beauté sa carrière en étant promu commissaire de police. La tâche ne sera pourtant pas simple puisqu’il a dans son équipe, un jeune policier débutant et Shekhar Verma (Akshay Kumar), homme courageux mais sans grande morale. Il faudra compter aussi sur les complices d’Iqba Ansari, qui semblent, depuis le début, être au courant de toute l’opération de transfert du prisonnier.

Shekhar Gupta (Rishi Kapoor), a rich businessman, falls in love at first sight with Damini (Meenakshi Sheshadri). They get married and Damini moves into his palatial bungalow. One day, she witnesses Shekhar's younger brother, Rakesh, raping the maid-servant and rushes to tell Shekhar. Shekhar rushes over to prevent the sexual assault but is too late. The Gupta family conspire to cover up this shameful incident. But Damini decides to inform the police. The matter is taken up in court and Damini is asked to testify. Damini is portrayed as a mentally unstable person and confined in a mental institution for two weeks by a judicial order. Unable to bear the mental torture in the institution, she escapes and runs into a down-and-out alcoholic lawyer, Govind (Sunny Deol), who has the rape case re-opened. The maid-servant dies in hospital and the police write her death off as a suicide. But Govind is able to prove otherwise. It is up to Damini, Govind and Shekhar to provide justice to the victimised girl.

Kashi (Sunny Deol) is a kind-hearted wrestler and the dutiful son of Shambhu Nath (Amrish Puri) living in Banaras. Shambhu Nath who was a freedom fighter awarded with Tambra Patra, is an honourable and respectable man in town. Katya and his brothers become enemy with Kashi when he beats up their goons when they were beating up Malti. Shambhu Nath is later diagnosed with throat cancer and has only a few days to live.

Vaidehi (Manisha Koirala) est venue vivre à New York avec Raghu (Jackie Shroff), mari violent qui la trompe allègrement et l'encourage à faire de même. Lorsqu'elle lui fait part de son indignation, il la renvoie en Inde, estimant qu'elle ne lui laisse pas suffisamment de liberté et qu'elle n'est pas dans « l'air du temps ». De retour parmi les siens, Vaidehi est accablée de reproches et tous lui recommandent de retourner auprès de son époux. Pendant ce temps, celui-ci apprend qu'un récent accident l'a rendu stérile et que sa femme est enceinte. D'un cynisme sans égal, il l'appelle et présente ses excuses, projetant en réalité de garder l'enfant et de se « débarrasser » de Vaidehi. Alors que cette dernière est sur le point de tomber dans le piège et de le rejoindre, elle est informée des sombres projets de son époux, qui a déjà envoyé sur place deux de ses hommes de main pour s'assurer de son retour. Vaihedi parvient néanmoins à se soustraire à leur surveillance et à s'enfuir. N'ayant désormais plus nulle part où aller l'esprit tranquille, elle se réfugie dans le premier train. Sur sa route, elle croise plusieurs personnages.
