Elegy for a Revolutionary is a 2013 short film directed and written by Paul van Zyl. The film stars Brian Ames, Martin Copping, and Michael Enright, and is based on the true story of a group of young white South Africans trying to protest apartheid.
Copping's role as Jeremy James won the Best Actor award at the 2013 Filmstock Film Festival.

Set in apartheid era South Africa in 1984. One man Donald Quick (Brian Ames) is encouraged by his friend Jeremy James (Martin Copping), to join the African National Congress (ANC) to protest apartheid. When their acts of sabotage turn to murder, their relationship falls apart. The notoriously brutal police are hot on their trail. The boys are captured and must choose between loyalty and beliefs or torture and death in prison.
