The film premiered on 7 November 2003. Director Anant Balani died before the film was released on 29 August 2003. The film is an unauthorised adaptation of the 1998 German film Run Lola Run.
Synopsis
The film revolves around a father-girl-guy relationship. Sameera Dutta (Nandita Das) is the wild daughter who comes into conflict with her father when she meets Viren (Rahul Bose). Sameera believes she has found true love, but it happens that Viren has a serious gambling problem and owes Rs. 2 million to a casino owner, Patel (Vineet Kumar). Viren seeks Sameera's help and in desperation and out of resentment for her father she threatens to reveal to her mother that he has a mistress who is pregnant with his child. When her father fails to give her the money, she places a revolver to his head. Her father not only informs the police, but he also hires a hitman to kill his daughter. Meanwhile, a strike cripples the city so Sameera must make her way on foot to the drop-off location to pay off Patel and save Viren's life. After narrowly escaping both the police and her father's hired hitman, Sameera reaches the drop-off.Acteurs

Debu (Rahul Bose) is a 32-year-old advertising agent, but has a serious problem in that he is still a virgin. He meets Baba Hindustani (Vijay Raaz) in a hotel who promises to cure him of the teasing he gets from being a virgin. He later meets Nitin Kapoor, a film-maker (Saurabh Shukla) who later films him as he works out in the gym and other physical activities. Kiran is the only child of a gangster father. She was brought up in such a way that she does not know of her father's unlawful habits. Maj. Siddhant Chaudhary (Rahul Bose) and Maj. Akash Kapoor (Javed Jaffrey) are lawyers in the Indian army and are close friends. The real time depiction of the horrific time spent by JOY at the empty office filled with the curse of people who have been recently fired is the crux of the film FIRED. It's a supernatural influence that keeps JOY haunted in his own empty office, and also the twin demons of PROZAC and insecurity that turn a happy go lucky man into a stark-raving suicidal guy. In a matter of couple of hours the strong man Joy turns into a pleading mad guy seeing ghosts of his lover and her kid at every nook and corner. Everything around in the seemingly nondescript office become the targets of his paranoia, fed by the crazy hallucinatory effects of his anti depressant pills.
