Current Theega (English: Electricity wire) is a 2014 Tollywood romantic comedy movie which is produced by Manchu Vishnu on 24 Frames Factory banner, directed by G. Nageswara Reddy. Starring Manchu Manoj, Rakul Preet Singh, Sunny Leone in the lead roles and Jagapathi Babu in an important role and music composed by Achu, while Satish Mutyala and S R Shekhar have taken care of the cinematography and editing respectively. It is a remake of 2013 Tamil film Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam directed by Ponram and starring Sivakarthikeyan, Sathyaraj and Sri Divya in the lead roles.The film was awarded an 'A' certificate by Central Board of Film Certification due to bold item track of Sunny Leone without any cuts. The film released on 31 October 2014.

Synopsis

Shiva Rama Raju (Jagapati Babu), a noted good Samaritan in Parvatipuram who has a bet with Veerraju (Supreet) in the same village that if any one of his three daughters falls in love he will either kill the man or cut down his ears and he takes a vow that he will marry off his daughters to the grooms of his choice, neither love marriage nor elopement. Kavita (Rakul Preet Singh) is his third daughter. Raju (Manchu Manoj) is a wayward youth who is deeply in love with an English teacher Sunny (Sunny Leone) in a junior college. Kavita is one of Sunny's students. Raju uses Kavita as a courier to love Sunny; as the things proceed, Raju and Kavita fall in love. The rest of the story is all about what happens when they want to get married.

Shailu (Anushka Shetty) is a married, ill-tempered businesswoman living in the United States, trying to care for her mother and young nephew and manage her bills. The story of the film revolves around a palace known as ‘Gandharva Mahal’ which belongs to Rayudu (Prabhu), the present head of a royal family that has lost its former splendor. On 1 January 2010, a sudden bomb blast occurs in London, killing several people. The scene shifts to the same place after exactly a year, where a blind man Kenny Thomas (Vikram) lays flowers on the memorial and mourns someone's death during the bomb blast. He is then given some secret details by a mysterious woman. Kenny then takes a taxi driven by Satyan (Santhanam) who is a comical Tamil guy. He drops Kenny at a place and waits for him to return. But Kenny actually goes inside to kill someone. He kills him and throws him down. Seeing the corpse, Satyan flees. During this entire scene, Kenny is shown to produce a sound from his mouth, to find his way, which is later shown as echolocation. Later Kenny is shown to play piano in a local church, and he is blind he has so many people who care for him. In the meantime, Kenny carries out two more murders, taking the same taxi driven by the innocent Satyan, following instructions from the mysterious woman.
